The coolest nigga, what

Lord please have sympathy
And forgive Michael Young history as
The coolest nigga, what

I love the Lord
But sometimes it's like that I love me more
I love the peace and I love the war
I love the seas and I love the shore
No love for no beach baby, that's law
But she doesn't see therefore, I spoil
I trick, I fall, run up in raw
I love her with all my heart
Every vein, every vessel, every bullet lodged
With every flower that I ever took apart
She said that she would give me greatness, status
Placement above the others
My face would grace covers
Of the magazines of the hustlers
Paper, the likes of which that I had never seen
Her eyes glow green with the logo of our dreams
The purpose of our scene
The obscene obsession for the bling
She would be my queen, I could be her king
Together, she would make me cool
And we would both rule
Forever
And I would never feel pain
And never be without pleasure, ever again
And if the reign stops and everything's dry
She would cry just so I can drink the tears from her eyes
She'd teach me how to fly, even cushion my fall
If my engines ever stall and I plummet from the sky
But she will keep me high, and if I ever die
She would commission monuments on her bosom to him
Or maybe she'd retire as well
A match made in Heaven, set the fires in Hell
And I'll be

The coolest nigga, what

Lord please have sympathy
And forgive Michael Young history as
The coolest nigga, what

And so began our reign
The Trinity: Her and I, caine
No weather man could ever stand when her and I came
Hella hard, umbrella, whatever
Put plywood over Pella panes
And pray to God that the flood subside
Cause you gon' need a sub til he does reply
And not one of Jared's you think it's all arid
And e'eryt'ing's irie, another supply
That means another July inside my endless summer
That was just the eye of the Unger, Felix
Cause he is the cleanest amongst the
Younger outstanding achieving up-and-comers
The ones that had deadbeat daddies and well-to-do mommas
But not well enough to keep 'em from us
The ones that were fighting in class who might not pass
Rap record pressured to laugh at a life not fast
Can you feel it?
Is what I got asked
Do I love her?
Said, I don't know
Streets got my heart, Game got my soul
One time missing sunshine will never hurt your soul
Quote to a crying, dishonored baby mama
Who's the mama to the daughter that I had fathered from afar
My new lady gave me a Mercedes and a necklace with a solid gold key
Like the starter of a car, the opener of a door, or two pounds of raw
You gave me a baby, but what about lately?
Then ha-ha-ha-ha-ha'd right up in her face, G
There's more fish in the sea
I'm on my mission to be

The coolest nigga, what

Lord please have sympathy
And forgive Michael Young history as
The coolest nigga, what

Come, these are the tales of The Cool
Guaranteed to go and make you fail from your school
And seek unholy grails like a fool
And hang with the players of the pool
Fast-talking of the hustle
No heaven up above you, no hell underneath ye
And no one will receive thee
So shed no tear when we're not here
And keep your faith as we chase
The Cool

A match made in heaven set the fires in hell.

    Matches set fires.

The Cool - December 18th- prolly one of the best CDs you'll ever have the privilege of hearing.

His assumption of a great lover and perfect relationship is the metaphor with people and the streets...they think that the streets is what they need in life. The characteristics of the Streets show the access of alcohol and drugs on well....the streets.

"I love her with all my heart Every vein, every vessel... With every flower..."

This has a great double meaning in the fact that a heart has blood pumped into it by veins and blood vessels and a flower has veins (the lines on leaves) and vessels (a canal in the stem of a plant or flower).

And does anyone know what the noise of someone walking and chains clinking are right before the main beat starts??

    My Interpretation

If you hit up Lupe Fiascos website lupefiasco.com....it really explains all of the metaphors clearly.

there are biographies for three characters:

The Game: which is the desire for infamy and success The Streets: The allure and an alternate illicit route to success The Cool: Michael Young History's like soul...

I chose to explicate Lupe Fiasco's lyrics as a poetry project for my AP English class...you guys helped me out alot XD thanks so much haha

the albulm is basically about Michael Young ( and coincidently I believe Lupe Fiascos Michale Young=My cool Young) relationship with these enticing characters...its crazy how his whole entire album can be kind of like a biography of not just Michael Young's life but so many characters lives through out history...and how they have strayed off the path easily chasing fame.

I couldn't understand the part where he is like: "and if I ever die She would commission monuments on her bosom, to him "

but if you read The Streets' biography on the website and look through the booklet it talks about how she tattoos of those she has had an affair with on her chest...and if you look closely in the booklet you can see the names tattooed there like Roger Clemens'.

    also this part:

"and everything's irie, anoth' supply That means anoth' July inside my endless summer"

it means like everything is going good because he recieved another supply "another july, my endless summer," refers to the movie, "The Endless summer" Its title comes from the last line in the film, which expresses the idea that if one had enough time and money it would be possible to follow the summer around the world, making it endless. this links Paris/Tokyo in the album back to this song...

"no weatherman" said quick sounds like no other man:

"No weather man could ever stand where her and I came"

which refers back to the need just for success but to be THE GREATEST.

and when he is talking about magazines:

"Above the others, my face with grace covers of the magazines Of the hustlers, PAPER, the likes of which That I had never seen,"

paper is the perfect transition because it is the name of a magazine.

seas and shore in the first line arent= seas and shore

seas=sieze which means the appeal shore=sure which means the confidence

which is like how people feel like they are more confident when they are carrying a piece and the danger and the lifestyle of a gangster is appealing because it brings fame and $$$

then when he says "No love for no Beach" he is affirming that he isn't talking about the beach at all, because he just said he loves the seas and the shore...which would be a beach, but in the same verse says that he doesn't love the beach...

GOTTA LOVE LUPE...there is so much more but I would be glued to my computer if I didn't leave it right now.

Good call livinlikeimfromDC. He's really putting a magnifying glass of all the things that are perceived as being cool to the ghettos and people living in them moreso that still have not solved the problem of being obsessed with these material things. And this michael young guy aka "the cool" is head over heals for "The streets" (who isn't in love with him she's using him) cause he's getting all these material things he loves and he had a REAL baby with a REAL woman and ends up neglecting the both of them and once again the cycle will start over because "the cool's" father left him also. The end of the last verse explains it

"The ones that were, fighting in class, who might not pass Rap record pressured to laugh, at a life not fast" The the kids who weren't smart fell the have no choice but to be hustlers because of the way rap is today and pushing for these drug dealing hustlers

"Can you feel it? [echo], that's what I got asked Do I love her? [echo], said I don't know" his REAL woman asking if he feels the baby in her stomach and asking if he loved her

"Streets got my heart, Game got my soul" Self explainitory

"One time missing sunshine will never hurt your soul" If he loses his "sunshine" his REAL girl telling her it's not gonna hurt him

"Quote: To a crying dishonored baby mama Who's the mama to a daughter that I had fathered from afar" Now this woman is crying and he's just disgusting on the next line

"My new lady gave me a Mercedes and a necklace With a solid gold key (ki) like the starter of a car" The streets being his other lady gave him some "cool" things so why would he need his baby's mother. Also lady could mean white lady as in coke. she also got him a gold key or ki as in kilo of coke

"The opener of a door or two pounds of raw" The gold key to open a door or 2 pounds of raw drugs

"You gave me a baby, but what about lately? Then ha-ha-ha-ha-haw'ed, right up in her face, G There's more fish in the sea, I'm on my mission to be, be" He now then laughs at the real woman leaving her for "the streets" because it's what's more important to be cool... he'll find another girl.

these lyrics are on another level. The wordplay is among the best that I've seen. The themes and motif's are unreal. how the fuck does he figure out that my cool young history can be "Michael Young History"(a character on the album). He's obviously talking about a child who is in love/likes a girl and has an innocent crush on her. Then, we see this kid get caught up with the Streets and the Game and suddenly he doesn't want this girl, he wants to be 'The coolest N****". He pursues the game instead of the girl, and path of innocence.

Also - And if the rain stops is also a play on reign. "She would be my queen, I could be her king..."

Possible mistakes- 'I trick I fall, run up and raw' might be- 'I trip, I fall run up and brawl.' The bitch/beach line is the other way around. He says beach but he means bitch. It's 'well-to do mommas.' And 'nowhere' will recieve thee, not 'no-one'.

One of my favorite songs. Love the plays on words.

There's a second voice speaking during the line "But not well enough to keep 'em from us", as well as the outro.

Anyway, I'm thinkin this is about Michael Young History's love of The Streets. It starts out with all the things she can do for him, make him "The Coolest," ('Teach me how to fly, even cushion my fall...') and by the second verse, he's left his previous love and his child for her ('You gave me a baby, but what about lately?'). Third verse is mostly there because I think this is the first song on the album that actually deals with the storyline, so it's kind of like the intro to what's to come. Won't find out for sure until it's actually released on the 18th...

Felix Unger is a character from the odd couple who has OCD of something. "That was just the eye of the Unger Felix, 'cause he is the -cleanest- amongst the younger" Why does Lupe put lines that aren't accessable to the average listener in his songs? I guess thats what makes him the best.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
