I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Not quite as good as the The Outfield's classic original, but an admirable effort.
It's pretty straightforward
It's about gettin' drunk, cuttin' loose, and having a throughly satisfying one night stand with an old crush behind her boyfriend's back.
I love this song. The only thing i don't like is that she repeats tonight too much. If she just held it out like the second tonight it would kick butt haha.

yeah I LOVE the original but this is my favorite cover so far. and I agree with simdanes, I really didn't like how she repeats "tonight" on the first line of the chorus, but whatever it's still a great song. I think it's pretty obvious what the song is about though.. duh
Katy Perry is probably the single best pop singer out today. Her songs are catchy, some have amazing lyrics/heartfelt meaning and some have super-catchy repetitive belt-it-out, sing-a-long lyrics that just wont get out of my head. This song is fantastic and i've probably listened to it about 100 times in one day, no lie. Just gotta love a gal who names her pet cat Kitty Purry. Katy Perry = Love.
