(One, two, three, four)

If I gotta guess it I will
I think it's 310-143-1437
Baby, if I press it then will I get to you?
Let me know, what is your number, girl?

Every minute is worth a dime of spending
You can change my whole life if you with it
Odds are one in a billion
My heart, I'd bet on you if I just get your number

Girl, if I put your number in my phone
I hope that it's the right one
Girl, if I did then I'm gon' win it tonight, hon
It could mean a lot for me
I think I done hit the lottery, baby, yeah
Think I hit the lottery, baby, yeah

Get on this investment 'cause if you bet on me
Then we can go anywhere in love, it's nothing
If I leave a message, I hope that it goes through
Let me know, if I'm the one, girl (whoa, oh)

Every minute is worth a dime of spending
You can change my whole life if you with it (my whole life, girl)
Odds are one in a billion (yeah)
My heart, I'd bet on you if I just get your number (yeah)

Girl, if I put your number in my phone (oh, in my phone)
I hope that it's the right one (whoa)
Girl, if I did then I'm gon' win it tonight, hon
It could mean a lot for me (lot for me)
I think I done hit the lottery (I hit the lottery)
(Oh, yeah, baby) baby, yeah
Think I hit the lottery (oh, yeah, I hit it, baby)
Baby, yeah
Think I hit the lottery

(If you choose me) girl, I promise
(If you choose me) oh, I'll be honest
(If you choose me) oh, won't abuse it
(If you choose me) if you choose me
(And if you choose me) girl, I promise
(And if you choose me) I'll be honest
(And if you choose me) won't abuse it
(And if you choose me) if you choose me, I'ma love you

Girl, if I put your number in my phone (whoa)
I hope that it's the right one
Girl, if I did then I'm gon' win it tonight, hon
It could mean a lot for me (oh, yeah)
I think I done hit the lottery (lottery, yeah)
(Yeah, whoa) baby, yeah
Think I hit the lottery (oh, oh, oh)
Baby, yeah

Can I get your number?

Girl, let me get that number, hit the jackpot
Girl, you're like the lottery (yeah)
You're like the lottery, yeah (oh)
Girl, let me get that number, hit the jackpot
Girl, you're like the lottery (lottery)
You're like the lottery, yeah (lottery)
Girl, let me get that number, hit the jackpot
Girl, you're like the lottery, you're like the lottery, yeah
Girl, let me get that number, hit the jackpot
Girl, you're like the lottery, you're like the lottery, yeah
Girl, let me get that number, hit the jackpot
Girl, you're like the lottery, you're like the lottery, yeah
Girl, let me get that number, hit the jackpot

how come no one has added a comment to this song ai? anyone know if its an older song of chris brown's, or is it fairly new? i dno cos i just randomly downloaded. no one else seems of have heard of it before.

i recon it's hell catchy, lyrics are a bit weird, like how it starts off. 'If I gotta guess it I will I think it's 310-143-1437' tht bit for example seems weird to me. overall i think the song is about a guy wanting a chicks number (tht one is pretty obvious) and hes comparing it to winning the lottery, like sayin 'ur love is a rare as winning the lottery'

i think its really sweet. one of my top fav songs.

why does it seem weird to you. He is talking about guessing a girl's number who is has not given it to him. 320 is a cali zip code and he is just kinda guessing the rest until she gives him the digits. Like if someone is like 310...312!? He is guessing the number. When he finally gets it and her he feels as though he has hit the lottery. Listen to the words and it is off his second album, EXCLUSIVE! its a pretty bomb album

    Song Meaning

Just to comment on the oddity of the phone number that he uses at the beginning of the song:

"143" is used to mean "I love you," as the numbers of letters in each word corresponds to the numbers: I=1 letter love=4 letters you=3 letters

and then "1437" can mean "I love you forever" (forever=7 letters)

and "310" is the area code of cities in LA County

One of the reasons I thought about the numbers meaning I love you is because Musiq Soulchild has a song called "143" and I looked it up and thats what it stands for

If you haven't heard this whole album... I agree with KVC, it is pretty tight, from beginning to end.. Graffiti on the other hand...

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
