I see it as there are two guys: the guy narrating (singing) the song and another guy. The singer is in love with the girl, possibly even having an affair but she's with this other guy who is abusive to her. She doesn't see past it but continues trying to convince herself that she's in love with him (hence the chorus).
Finally the guy kills her (probably beat her to death). The singer is suspected of the crime but really he didn't do it because he's in love with her and "would never hurt a fly". However, the singer is angry and wants to kill the other guy.
It's sad because he's still dreaming about the girl and the future they could have had together, which in turn makes him more angry at the guy who killed her.
It could be that the singer was dating the girl and the other guy was stalking her, but it wouldn't go with the theme of the chorus.

I think the guy that was suppose to be the one who sounded like he killed her, didn't kill her... I think it was himself.
i think it's about someone who's lover or girlfriend was killed, and then he was blamed for it, even though he is innocent.
Okay first of all its obvious the girl left him for another guy and he kills her.
To me it seems like the song is being literal about killing the girl in the verses but when i listen to the chorus it seems more metophorical. "Cause you might think you're in love And he might promise you the world But don't believe what he says He's not real It's murder and this is it" Cause it seems as though when you get your heart "broken" its like the person has ripped out your heart and killed you, emo i know but thats the best way to describe it. Its like hes warning her in the chorus too.
Then it goes back to literal talking about how hes gonna kill the guy who did this obviously. But i have a few differnt veiws on the last lines. I view this song as he is talking to 'himself'. He is a schizophrenic. Two sided crazy person, I love it =] then again, it could mean something completely different. Not about a girl at all. Maybe this whole song is about something he is addicted to. Such as, he is addicted to it, doesn't want to get rid of it, yet knows that it is wrong. "she's just a murderer" meaning this addiction is taking him over and really isn't helping his situation whatsoever. If any of that makes since...
Almost positive it's an interrogation and "THAT SON OF A BITCH TOOK AWAY MY GIRL" is her father. and "You're in denial" is a cop. Just a guess.
This song is obviously about a guy who had a girl, and she was murdered. The plot twist was he murdered her, but it was his other personalitiy, as he has multiple/split personality disorder.
Proofs:
"Am I dreaming again" It might be exactly what it says,I'm not 100% sure on this one, but I'm my option I think the "dreaming again" might be when he's in his other personality, meaning he might think he's dreaming when he's the other personality.
"But don't believe what he says, he's not real" and it goes on to say "he's murderous" or "he's a murder" He is talking about his other personality, the one that killed her
Then it quotes what the killer said to her before she murdered her, and the narrator/boyfriend or husband wouldn't have known what the murder said, unless he was there. If he was there, he would've saved her right? Yes, so while he was there that "side" of him so to speak wasnt, because the other personality was present.

"I feel betrayed" he betrayed himself when his other side killed his love. "I gave you my life" he literally shared his life with this other personality, and in this case he's also specifically saying his girl as well, which the other personality took away when he killed the girl.
At first glance, you will see that a guy stole his girl away from the him, and murdered her. After examining every line, this part may stick out.

right here he says that it wasn't him who murdered her because he would never hurt anyone, but then follows it up telling himself he is in denial. This would mean the rest of the song the threats are directed toward himself, an act of suicide is soon to follow.
Another possibility for the above lines would be that he feels he is responsible for what happened, he blames himself for not holding onto the girl while he had her. He allowed her to drift away and this man killed her.
Another way to look interpret the murder of the girl could be to think that her death is really only in his eyes. He lost her to another guy, and he is going to kill the man because of it. So when he denies his innocence, he is telling himself that he is not guilt free in the story, maybe his actions drove her away, maybe he beat her.
This song could be interpreted in a few ways, these are just what I saw in it.
