Des Visages Et Des Muscles (Faces and Muscles) Lyrics
Se noyer, s’oublier, se laisser prendre
Des visages et des muscles atrophiés en proie (A l’etouffement).
D’un corps mort les pulsions la magie
Remontent a la surface
Vers l’extérieur, vers l’air, une respiration
Se noyer, s’oublier, se laisser prendre
Se laisser prendre
Se noyer, s’oublier, se laisser prendre
Se laisser prendre
(We go nowhere and nobody seems to care).
---
To drown, to forget, to accept to be taken
Atrophied faces and muscles threatened by suffocating.
From a dead body, pulsions, magic is coming up to the surface, to the outside, to the air…a breath.
To drown, to forget, to accept to be taken
To accept to be taken
To drown, to forget, to accept to be taken
To accept to be taken
We go nowhere and nobody seems to care.

This song is from the "This Is Your Life" 2004 comp put out by Apemustnotkillape, which is where I got these lyrics from. The last line of this song is in english in the song itself, but in French it's "Nous allons nulle part et personne ne s'en plaint." The first line is re-used in the song "Se Noyer, S'oublier, Regarder Partir" and this song seems to be along similar lines as that one, in term of meaning. I believe "to accept to be taken" is a metaphor for accepting death, and the next two lines seem to be about death/aging and then rebirth and resurrection. I could be wrong, though.
