I'm going away to be alone I'm coming back with answers
Don't try to call my telephone it's disconnected
And I don't know where I'm going but can you guide me
If I find love where I'm going will it survive me
'Cause in your own space you're disconnected
And in your own mind you're not affected
And in your own time you're still attracted but in your own life

This heart attack I've gotta get away not coming back
I want some downtime so call me when you can and I'll be fine

I've found the time to be alone I don't know what you're asking
I'm waiting by the telephone and you're still barking
My heart stops it isn't... going could you revive me
I think I'm lost without knowing so come and find me
'Cause in the same space we're disconnected
And in your own mind you're not attracted
But in your own life over reacted and in your own time

This heart attack I think I'll go away not coming back
I'm off the line so call me when you can some other time
This heart attack I've gotta get away not coming back
I want some downtime so call me when you can and I'll be fine

Sometimes if we don't go sometimes you don't know
You don't go I don't go I don't go you don't go
I've got your back but you don't got mine
This heart attack then I'm feeling fine

This heart attack I've gotta get away I'm not coming back
I'm bout to flatline so call me when you can some other time
This heart attack I've gotta get away
Not coming back
I want some downtime so call me when you can and I'll be fine
I'm going away to be alone
I'm going away to be alone
I'm going away to be alone
I'm going away to be alone

Faker is the Best! well, at least, this song is, and so is Hurricane! RANDOM and it is gooooood! you gotta hear it.

    um, meaning...

"going away to be alone, coming back with answers" self explanatory- he loves pie. no, no im sorry, listening to the hurricane made me like this im sorry

going away to be alone needs space to think about things so he can get a clear head and a clear take on the situation, hes confused (gosh why is everyone so confused by love all the time..oh yeah, THATS right, love...duh)

maybe the chick or wateva is too clingy but dosnt take him seriously, for real, or just takes him for granted forever.

"Cause in your own space you’re disconnected and in your own mind you’re not affected And in your own time you’re still attracted but in your own life..." so that could be meaning they don't have any feelings for them anymore, but after a while they find they're still thinking about them way too much, so maybe he's going away for a while from his current girl to think about stuff and clear his head cos he keeps thinkin bout his ex...? possibly?

"Cause in the same space we’re disconnected and in your own mind you’re not attracted But in your own life over reacted and in your own time..."

continuing from the "thinkin bout his ex" theme, his girlfriend dumped him, they dont talk anymore, "disconnected" if they ever run into each other in the same place, "space". and his girlfriend has got over him, and hes saying "in your own time"...maybe you'll forgive me

and he dosnt wanna like his ex so hes "going away to be alone" to detox himself from all the STUFF

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
