ain't this the livin we aint' living right now
hours tickin ours missed it cause they flipped the lights out
spit it right and right about now it is written
about to get even more vicious imagine it
freezin cold confusion sight the blizzard
digits swoll from grabbin it
diggin em gold for havin it
back slid if this shits happiness
is neonintey future drama
futurama shoot your mama sue your father on a tv show
i know the truth your honor
but peep the proof just aint so easy quote
when folks back east are broke
bro and we aint spoke since easter
we need some dope speakers yo some old sneaker jokes
so souls can seek it
not this screen bleepin in between em
teachers hold it quote it
close

it seems like nowadays
everybody can speak their mind except christians
if i was lying about how i'm buckin
these rubber duckies would listen
if i was rhyming about the club and all the bub that they missin
they'd love this hissin
and love the system
dubbin it wisdom
some claimin christian on the surface while they churches is prisons
shits some prisons are churches compared to the love that they're given
it aint religion shit is war
but they don't know they own bibles
i mean they own bibles and all but they don't hold to they bibles
buyin gold for they idols
the kind that's sold at revivals
and stressin flesh in the cess pool instead of soul for survival
sellin they own to the rival and getting thrown in the spiral
ill be naive for now but peep the clouds for throne on arrival
they got ears but don't hear it aint like it's new can i get an amen
it's not like it's new can i get an amen
standin scared and ensnared by their fear
can i get an amen
take a stand it aint no chance that you’re here
can i get an amen
i aint no ant to the man and his plan
can i get an amen

yall gettin got in fear
so take off all your gold
like sinners lost in here
but not forgotten though
dont you dare take the word of a man for the word
you gotta search God to know
cause on this rotten globe i walk alone so i'm responsible
with obstacles abound
unsound
confound the opticals
found the key to the kingdom in freedom
yeshua unlock the soul
most the flock controlled
we got the arrogant priest
the greed apparent
lulled to sleep for the american dream
swoll broken snobby ears probably wont hear it from me
when most peeps be sleepin now but be preparin to weep
here’s the seed you can cherish it or bury it deep
we're gonna sing with those cherebum
learn to tear through the wheat
cant speak for them the end is near as clear as the beast
the new wine and a time to share it at the marriages feast
they got ears but don't hear
it's ain’t like it's new can i get an amen
standin scared and ensnared by their fear
can i get an amen
take a stand it aint a chance that your here
can i get an amen
i aint no ant to the man and his plan
can i get an amen

seems like nowadays everybody speaks their mind except christians
but we aint welcome in your schools so how them schools turn to prisons
since the system hid the wisdom and put a chip in our prism
spilit a twisted vision
so now we don't divide the light right listen
if it isn't polite my bad there just isn't room for opinions
it just so right it's sad devils advocates wanna blab while they miss it
insight the abicus blackslidin while sinkin divisions
wisdom so deep that if you don't get it you don't get it get it

they got ears but don't hear
it's ain’t like it's new can i get an amen
standin scared and ensnared by their fear
can i get an amen
take a stand it aint no chance that your here
can i get an amen
i aint no ant to the man and his plan
can i get an amen

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
