Vanishing points and midnight horizons
Herald another night
without you by my side.
Bring me the light. Bring me the dawn. Bring me another day
But further from your arms.

And this world is frozen
And my limbs so numb.
Feel the frostbite,
Exceed all hope of coming back alive.
And these roads we've chosen
leave our hearts so numb.
As another day sets its teeth
ready to strike.

But there will be no dawn.
At these hours I find my mind
Turns itself in circles, reigniting the worst of fears
and leaving others to the cold.
Powerless, I'm afraid to lose
these thoughts of you.
Please leave me the scars.
Just leave me the scars.

Wake. These are the hours left to ghosts. These are the times
reason fails to reach.
These are the places from which echoes fail to return
and solitude runs hand in hand with disaster.

And this world is frozen.
and my limbs so numb.
Feel the frostbite
exceed all hope of coming back alive.
And these roads we've chosen,
leave our hearts so numb.
So I'll salvage what little hope I can
from the sun.

Still I'm choking on the words
I should have said one thousand times. And I'm cursing every memory.
And I'm holding on until there's nothing left to save.

Let every scar still bear your name.
Every scar still bears an angel's face.

And still I chase the sun.

Ummm it could be about loving someone that you don't want to love because it's killing you. Like as in you love somebody you that you can't have. But at the same time you do want to love them, and you would just do absolutely anything to be with them, because you can't help it. But they will never love you the way you love them. But you keep telling yourself just maybe. And you think there is still hope, but there's another voice in your head that's saying no. And there's just this on going war in your head. You just start believing what you want to believe and seeing what you want to see... And you get all caught up in it...

"And still I chase the sun. "

And although you know it's never possible, it's still that person's love you long for the most.

If my explanation is right, then I can relate to this song a little too well... I love you.

i dont know if the lyrics are correct. i found some other lyrics which are the opposite of the of yours but i dont know which of them is correct i hold my ears directly on the speakers and i pumped up the volume and blow my brains off but i dont know what is the correct one :/ here they are:

Finishing points end with murderous hearts, Heralds another night. I've got you by my side.

Bring me the night, Bring me the tide, Bring me another day. But further, from your arms.

And this hall is frozen, And my limbs so numb. Feel the Frostbite. And save the help of coming back at all. And this way I've chosen, Leaves our hearts so numb. As another day, Sets in place, Ready to strike.

And there will be no dawn, At these hours. I find my life, Turns itself in circles, Reignited the worst of fears, And leading others to the cold.

Powerless. I'm afraid to love, These thoughts of you. Please leave me the scars, Just leave me the scars.

Wake (Wake), These are the hours left to toast. These are the times, These are times of Age.

These are the places, For where jackals find out their targets. And Solitude goes hand in hand with, Disaster.

And this wall is frozen, And my limbs so numb. Feel the Frostbite. And save the help of coming back at all. And the moved lips of men, Leaves the heart so numb. And I'll salvage what little hope I can, From your sword.

Still I'm choking on the words, I should've said, 1,000 times. And I'm cursing every memory, And I'm holding on until, There's nothing left to say.

Every scar, Every scar still bares your name. Every scar still bares an angel's face. An angel's face.

And still I chase, I chase the sun.

And still I chase, I chase the sun.

to Evil Armada (the second dude that commented) i would agree with you that its not about love and that parkway dont sing about love but from reading the lyrics from their new album it seems they have sung more about it

taken from five months: "If only you could see see it in my eyes how much it means. your touch. your smile. "

    thats about love

so this song possibly could be what vafruitcake has interpreted

I would say the song is about somebody who is or has been in a relationship, knowing that they need to get out of it because it is driving him down the wrong road but couldn't bring themselves to finalize it because they still loved them. He knows that what ever choice he makes it isn't going to be pretty which also could be another reason why he holds back on ending the relationship.

"Finishing points end with murderous hearts,"

"Bring me the night, Bring me the tide, Bring me another day. But further, from your arms."

He wants another day or night without, whoever the song is about, with him.

"And this hall is frozen, And my limbs so numb. Feel the Frostbite."

Could signify the numb and coldness he feels yet the sting it still brings upon him.

"At these hours, i find my life turns itself in circles. Reignited the worst of fears and leading others to the cold"

Here he could fore see the relationship bringing him down and knowing that when he falls, others will fall with him.

"Powerless. I'm afraid to love, These thoughts of you. Please leave me the scars, Just leave me the scars."

When he finally built up the courage to end it, he feels closed off and cold and just wants to be alone, which social isolation can lead to poor choices, hence the next part.

"Wake (Wake), These are the hours left to toast. These are the times, These are times of Age. These are the places, For where jackals find out their targets. And Solitude goes hand in hand with, Disaster."

"And I'll salvage what little hope I can, From your sword."

Meaning he will find what hope he can from the damage whoever has caused.

"Still I'm choking on the words, I should've said 1,000 times. And I'm cursing every memory, And I'm holding on until, There's nothing left to say."

He's saying he wished he had of ended it earlier and is 'cursing every memory' because they may be all bad. But, in the wreckage he can still see the good in what he fell in love with which signifies this next part.

"Every scar, Every scar still bares your name. Every scar still bares an angel's face. An angel's face."

"And still I chase, I chase the sun."

And in conclusion he is trying to find the best out of his experiences, and not choosing the ones that would just drive him down further.

    i think........

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
