Well, it's been swell but you sure have been no help to me
Well, see you in hell cuz that's the only sight I can see

Please handle me with care, I'm very delicate
One simple crack, and I might split
Or maybe I should say, that possibly one day
You'll wish you would of fixed me when you had the chance
So you could enjoy this last dance
(Hey!)

Well, it's been swell but you sure have been no help to me
Well, see you in hell cuz that's the only sight I can see

Cuz I'm not complaining if you're obtaining a ticket for a face full of fist
Cuz I won't pass this up, cuz I've been waiting for a chance like this
To bring you down, to bring you down, to bring you right around
And let this whole world know what you really are
Nothing at all

Cuz I've been waiting on the sidelines
And you've been wearing the crown
Now I'm gonna take the limelight
In hopes of bringing you down

Goodbye, goodnight, I hope the bedbugs bite
I hope they suck your blood, until your veins run dry

Well, it's been swell but you sure have been no help to me
Well, see you in hell cuz that's the only sight I can see
Cuz you've been treading on my turf, and you've been living on my life
And you've been getting in the way, of my five foot knife
Just the way I like it

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
