inte en dag yngre
skriver jag en sång
jag har ältat alla ord
här över muggar och glas
vi kom varandra närmre
du och jag i vår
och jag är tacksam för
att du orkade lyssna

en sommar igen
kanske nån vecka på landet
kanske nån helg
i nån storstad söderut
du och din tjej
jag och min son ibland
planerna är skönt
om dom kan flyta lite nu

fan, det värker
det ilar då och då
det känns ibland som om alla har
förstått utom jag
att världen står och pekar
stackars han som tror
att livet är en dröm
han borde ta ett jobb

jag drack en kaffe hos Louise
på hennes uteplats igår
hembakt och en son
som lärt sig cykla just
hon berättade sin historia
och om styrkan hon fått
hur värdena ändras
när sjukdomar kommer

jag ville skjuta mig själv
redan på tunnelbanan hem
för hur svag jag har varit
och hur fel jag haft
två öl senare
var Skånegatan
ändå lite lockande
och framtidens ljus

jag fattar ingenting...

ännu inte äldre
tar jag flyget härifrån
och tänker att jag blivit lite
starkare
tänker att jag bara måste
se mig om
och leva lite mer
du vet hur jag är

men sen i mörkret på hotellet
i lappsjukans klimax
klickar jag fram bilder
som jag har i telefon
hon och jag i taxi
på väg från Gorkijparken
på ett sista försök
i Moskva

nu minns jag det som varmt
det där som frös i TV-soffan
dagarna vi inte orkade
prata med varann
jag tvivlar än en gång
och strör ut frågorna på bordet
nån säger nånting
nån annan nåt annat

jag kunde säga att jag önskar
hon förstod
men det är ju inte det
jag vill nog bara ändra sanningen
nu går solen upp
och jag står på en balkong
i ett land jag aldrig känt
och tittar österut

ett land jag aldrig känt
med nya smaker att förnimma
steg som måste tas
och mina hyllor för mig själv
stolt som en bödel
som bara gör sitt jobb
väntar jag på frälsning
och förlåtelse

jag fattar ingenting...

jag fattar ingenting
och jag ser bara tecken
bilder säger stanna
bilder säger gå
vi pratar inte mera
eller gifter oss till hösten
saker förändras
när tiden går

har jag väntat mig för mycket
blåste jag iväg
jag ser tillbaka på
en radda av affischer
jag tror jag drömde om ett liv
bara utan korridorer
utan korridorer
skulle jag bli lycklig

du kände mig när
åren var terminer
när sommaren var helig
och nätterna var allt
du har vart densamma
som en klippa genom tiden
med en hand som
verkat räcka åt oss alla

minns du när vi satt
utanför Strandbaden i Falkenberg
och lyssnade på när
havet blåste in
det var långt innan henne
det var långt före allt
men jag kan inte komma på
att jag saknade nåt då

jag ser regnet komma närmre
över floden
TV:n dövar tystnaden
i mörkret
tid tid
inte en dag yngre
skriver jag en sång

jag fattar ingenting...

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
