Removal of the eyes gives my heart a saddened chill
I preserve them in formaldehyde to gaze upon at will
How their greenish flecks befell me that starlit winter's night
I lost all that I ever was while locked within their sight

Before you sits a broken man, your fragile pinkish heart in hand
Peculiar how it can hurt so bad while love is only in the mind
I sew the gaping chestwork, each thread is made with love
The bosom where I would rest my face is covered in your blood

No
This is not the end
You'll live on eternally
Oh
Lord it's not the end
My secret you'll forever be

I interrupt this transformation,
A familiar lust swelling in me
A long and soulful kiss
the shades are drawn
the living world can't see
The coil of entrails
how curious the smell
so pungent to my eager nostrils
Hands further compelled

No
It's not the end
Forever you'll be in my arms

I could never let you go
My darling, cold and blue
I wonder are you dreaming still
Spread eagled, blood removed

I weave the sucking trocar
Beaneath your bruising skin
Tonigh I'll lay beside you darling
In necromantic sin

Pinned to the bed sheets like a prized butterflyy you're mine
I hear your voice, so precious, echoing deeply inside
I did my best to love you while you did live and breathe
This tender taxidermy trophy of the bereaved

I could never let you go
My darling, cold and blue
I wonder are you dreaming still
Spread eagled, blood removed

I weave the sucking trocar
Beaneath your bruising skin
Tonigh I'll lay beside you darling
In necromantic sin

I beliieve this song is about someone who is into necromancy and necrophelia. Possibly even someone who does autopsies. So while doing the personal taxidermy (or business), this person gets an overwhelming feeling that they have felt before. A feeling that they need to fulfill by performing sexual acts with the body he/she is working on. (a familiar lust swelling in me- a long and soulful kiss.

This is a great song. The lyrics are amazing and the guitars and drums as well. Great work.

I reckon the song is about some dude whose lost someone he loved a whole load. And even in death he still feels for them. Also feelings of misery / longing 'I could never let you go, my darling', 'I wonder are you dreaming still?'

    xx

This song is based on an old Italian horror movie called Beyond the Darkness, a favorite of Trevor Strnad's.

If you see the movie, and re-read the lyrics, you'll make the connection. Great fuckin' love song by these dudes.

this song is actually about Carl Tanzler, who became obsessed with a cuban american women and dug up her body and kept it preserved for seven years until it was discovered by the cops

to theadict66 thank you lol. That is exactly what it is about. Research the story, and youll see how much sense it makes. Like the " I sew the gaping chestwound" part. Car Tanzler filled her chest with rags and whatnot to make her seem normal and alive. He also put a deathmask on her face to hide the decompostion. Sick song, gives me goosebumps because the first time I heard that story was from my dad when I was like 12. never thought id hear a song about it. GO TBDM!

I don't believe the skin would bruise unless the body was still alive.

What you must never forget is that Trevor enjoys shocking his fans, so it's reasonable that his version differs from the original.

"The bosom where I would rest my face is covered in your blood." The corpse which he has sex with could potentially be his own mother.

    Not that's dedication and romance!!!

Seriously though. Great song full of creepy lyrics, sick riffing and solid drumming.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
