Obviously in the song it's like he's talking to his ex. About how he wishes he hadn't fucked everything up in their relationship. Kinda like asking her if there is any way he can have another chance. Because he knows she was the best he'd ever have. And since she was gone he's been lonely as shit.

I really like how they flipped the arrangement around, instead of just copying the song.
Great song :D The Gin Blossoms one is good as well. But not as good as this one :)
Hit the Lights did an amazing job of covering this song, i think this version is wayyy better than the original. not knocking what the Gin Blossoms did but Hit the Lights did a way better job. they completely switched the sound around...great song.
