So draw, little piggy, better watch out for number one
(I fear there's a bad wind blowing through there)
You better put up the shutters 'cause Lord knows
Now I ain't stoppin' 'til the worst gets alive
Little strutter, don't you creep out that fuckin' rut
(It's best that you don't go walking through there)
Now please, don't bother knockin'
'Cause god knows I ain't now stopping 'til you breathe none

Hey, what'd I miss?
We're one and the same
Just give it the push while I kick-start
(There's just no time for this)

Come on, it's just the hurt I'm looking for
I don't wanna live no more
You've got the gun, I've got the bullets
Don't wanna live no more
Oh baby, be my lover
Go on and pull that trigger

You're the sin of this city, now repent for the wrong you've done
(I'm not sorry for this, not sorry at all)
You're a snake under cover
No room for another, just these bad motherfuckers
Leave a long trail of nothing, little bad boy with gun in hand
(It's best that you don't go walking through there)
Now please, come boy a-poppin'
'Cause god knows I ain't now stopping 'til you breathe none

Hey, what'd I miss?
We're one and the same
Just give it the push while I kick-start
(There's just no time for this)

Come on, it's just the hurt I'm looking for
I don't wanna live no more
You've got the gun, I've got the bullets
Don't wanna live no more
Oh baby, be my lover
Go on and pull that trigger

Let's flood out the weasels hole, (oh, Christ will you bury my body?)
To choke out all the lies it's told, (oh, Christ will you bury my body?)
With time, hope the hurt gets old, (oh, Christ will you bury my body?)
Let's fuck out the weasel's hole, (oh, Christ will you bury my body?)

We'll keep marching to the top of this tower
As god isn't at home, no
There's nothing in the way that could stop us
It's your time to go

Hey, what'd I miss?
We're one and the same
Just give it the push while I kick-start
(There's just no time for this)

Come on, it's just the hurt I'm looking for
I don't wanna live no more
You've got the gun, I've got the bullets
Don't wanna live no more
Oh baby, be my lover
Go on and pull that trigger

I don't wanna live no more
Go on and pull that trigger
Don't wanna live no more
Be my lover go on and pull that trigger

This song is fast, so I'm gonna be slowing it down on audacity, and I'll be on aim if anyone wants to help figure out the lyrics with me for a while.

This is what I hear for the first part, more or less:

So go. Little piggy, better watch out for number one. I'm feeling there's a bad wind blowing through there. You better pull up the shutters because lord knows now I ain't stomping through the woods, it's alive. Little darling, don't you creep out that fucking runt. It's best that you don't go walking through there. Now please, don't bother knocking because God's knows I ain't now stoping until you breathe no Hey Would I miss you, one and the same?

Just give it the push while I kick start There's just no time for this, Come on, it's just the herd I'm looking for. Don't want to live no more. You've got the gun, I've got the bullets Don't want to live no more. Well baby be my lover, go on and pull that trigger.

Here's the complete parts I got.
Chorus: "What I need is (one in the same?) Just give it a push while I kick-start Theres just no time for this Come on, it’s just the ???? I’m looking for Don’t want to live no more You’ve got the gun, I’ve got the bullets Don’t want to live no more Baby be my lover go on and pull that trigger"

And the final verse/outro, whatever you want to call it (after the last solo).

"We’ll keep marching to the top of this tower As god isn’t at home There’s nothing in the way that can stop us It’s your time to go"

    This song is BITCHIN'!

That's alright. I'm not sure I have the first verse 100%, but I'm confident on most of it. Anyway. . . yeah. I think this is the second versey bit:

You’ve sinned another city Now you’ll pay for the wrong you’ve done I’m not sorry for this, I’m not sorry at all

Are you a snake undercover With the wolf or another Just these bad motherfuckers

Leave a long trail of nothing Little bad boy with gun in hand It’s best that you don’t go walking through there

Now please, a convoy or your papa Because God knows I ain’t now stopping until you breathe no more Hey

Good job on the lyrics everyone, they look pretty good from what I can hear. Anyway I can't tell if I love or hate this song.

I'm so disappointed in this and The Running Free both. I mean, they're good, but not by Coheed standards.

outside of the context of the rest of the album I can definately see why people wouldn't like The Running Free...I think it's going to be the "Blood Red Summer" or "The Suffering" of NWFT - the poppy radio single. However, when you put play it as part of the album as a whole I'm sure it will blend much better just like the previously mentioned songs do. Such is the way of concept albums. This song, however, I think is great. It's definately got a different feel to it - a little more of a groove than most Coheed songs. Overall the release of these two songs has completely reignited my excitement for this new album just like "Welcome Home" did before Good Apollo came out. I think No World for Tomorrow is going to be brilliant and can't wait to hear what Chris Pennie brings to the mix.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
