Intersection Lyrics
From the headaches, from the cold
From the endings of the words you knew
From the lungs that learnt to breathe
Don't paint by numbers
Paint in stains
Contact intenser fade to shades of grey
Back from tomorrow, from today
From seven trees
Is seventeen
In seven days
Paint in (?) by (?)
Don't face the mirror, catch the cold
For today I should have followed suit
For tomorrow never comes
Forfeit the lessons
Forfeit the lessons
Forfeit the lessons
Forfeit the lessons
(Intersection)
(Intersection)
(Intersection)
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!
Intersection!

Okay I love this song and I can't believe in all these years nobody's commented on it. Probably because a lot of the lyrics are inaudible. Anyways, I've been listening to it a lot lately because I have no clue what it's about, and I've formed a theory.
I think it MIGHT in some strange way have something to do with suicide or harming oneself. It's pretty much a longshot, but after analyzing it, that's the feeling it gave me. Most specifically, phrases like "Don't face the mirror" (when you're doing whatever), "For today I should have followed suit, for tomorrow never comes". And then I thought some more about it, and it seems like ... all the years have built up to this one particular moment? There's some looking back, it seems, "Intersection happened years ago", "Back from tomorrow, from today", and the seven leaves from seven trees thing gives me the sense of time passing for some reason.
This thought isn't completely refined, but other ideas would be greatly appreciated. This song intrigues me intensely for some reason. I'm also 99% sure nobody will post haha.

I think it's about coming to a point in your life where you have to decide between choices (eg. playing on with a band or going to school or whatever).
That's the 'intersection' in my opinion. The 'today I should have followed suit' possibly refers to doing what is expected or what you're told to do by others. Instead you follow you dreams through this intersection.
Something like that. Haha, there's also no comments because I only added this a short while ago... Hope that helps your thoughts.

Yeahh I meant I can't believe nobody added it earlier and talked about it, esp. since its so old. Probably because we can't decipher what he's saying hahaha.
BUT!! I didn't even think of it like you described. I wish I knew all the damn words though. But interesting points.
This song is so intruiging.

so, for the first question mark, it kind of sounds likt he says
"Forget the lessons learned in Mexico"
and the second one sounds like
"Don't paint by numbers, paint by ten by tens"
but i don't think either of those really make sense...

what album is it from? i've been having trouble getting ahold of the much older mcs albums and eps
