Yeah.
And you say Chi city, chi city, chi city.

(Chorus) [Chris Martin]
I'm coming home again
Do you think about me now and then?
Do you think about my now and then?
Cause I'm coming home again
-ming home again.

(Verse 1) [Kanye West]
Chi-town. Uh.
I met this girl when I was three years old.
And what I love most, she had so much soul
She said "Excuse me little homie, I know you don't know me
But my name is Windy, and yo, I like to blow trees"
And from that point I never blow her off
Cousins come from out of town, I like to show her off
They like to act tough, she like to tow em off
And make em straighten up they hat cuz she know they soft
And when I grew up, she show me how to go downtown
And in the nighttime, her face lit up, so astounding
I told her, in my heart is where she'll always be
She never mess with entertainers cuz they always leave
She said it felt like they walked and drove on me
Knew I was gang affiliated, got on tv, and told on me
I guess that's why last winter she got so cold on me
She said "keep makin' that, keep makin' that platinum and gold for me"

(Chorus) [Chris Martin]
Do you think about me now and then?
Do you think about me now and then?
'Cause I'm coming home again
-ming home again

Do you think about me now and then?
Do you think about me now and then?
Oh, now I'm coming home again
Maybe we could start again

(Verse 2) [Kanye West]
But if you really care for her,
Then you wouldn't've never hit the airport to follow your dream
Sometimes I still talk to her
But when I talk to her,
It always seems like she just talk about me
She said, "You left your kids and they just like you
They wanna rap and make soul beats just like you
But they just not you, and I just got through
Talkin' bout what he tryina do, just not new"
Now everybody got the game figured out all wrong
I guess you never know what you got 'til it's gone
I guess that's why I'm here and I can't come back home
And guess when I heard that, when I was back home
Every interview I'm representing you, makin' you proud
Reach for the stars, so when you fall you land on a cloud
Jumpin' in crowds, sparkin' lighters, wave em around
If you don't know by now, I'm talkin' bout Chi-town

(Chorus) [Chris Martin]
Do you think about me now and then?
Do you think about me now and then?
'Cause I'm coming home again,
-ming home again

Maybe do you remember when, fireworks at Lake Michigan?
Oh! Now I'm coming home again
-ming home again

Maybe do you remember when, fireworks at Lake Michigan?
Oh! Now I'm coming home again
Maybe we can start again

Loyee oyee oh, loyee oyee oh
Coming home again
Loyee oyee oh, loyee oyee oh
Coming home again
Maybe we can start again

Alanzo, do you even know what the word "pessimistic" means? If anything, the beat is an optimistic one, you do know what that word means right?

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
