Aren't we leaving today?
Abandoning the world
No more cities, we'll kill technology
No more boys and no more girls

I pray for the snow
You and I drown in the blue and cold
And fall so in love...
Teach me how to whisper...
Teach me how to whisper...

Are we leaving today?
We're learning to die
Learning to solve everything
Through beautiful goodbyes

I pray for the snow
We'll fall so in love...
Teach me how to whisper...

Teach me how to whisper...
Teach me how to whisper...
Teach me how to whisper...

Amazing song. I think there are a few corrections in the lyrics though.

Aren't we leaving today? Abandoning the world. No more cities, we'll kill technology. No more boys, and no more girls.

I prefer the snow, You and I, drown in the blue and cold, And we'll fall so in love... Teach me how to whisper.. Teach me how to whisper..

Are we leaving today? We're learning to die, Learning to solve everything, Through beautiful goodbyes.

I prefer the snow, We'll fall so in love, Teach me how to whisper..

Teach me how to whisper.. Teach me how to whisper.. Teach me how to whisper..

you an i will drown in the blue and cold

gosh it just gives me shivers when i hear those lines....like i don't know....like he knows that will happen?

huh i wish he didn't whisper so much. he looses so much of the emotion when it's burried under synthesizer.

it gives me shivers too i agree that it loses a lot when you can't really hear him whispering, but i like the whispers. maybe if they just turned down the synth while he whispered.

    The lyrics are:

Aren't we leaving today? Abandoning the world No more cities... we'll kill technology No more boys no more girls

I'd prefer the snow You and I... drown in the blue and cold We'll fall... So alone Teach me how to whisper...

Are we leaving today? We're learning to die Learning to solve everything through beautiful goodbyes

I'd prefer the snow We'll fall.. So alone Teach me how to whisper...

These are 100% correct because they come straight from Jamison himself.

This is my favorite song ever and I think I have an pretty accurate meaning behind it. Antarctica is a plea for solitude, but conjoined solitude. (yes, a paradox) He wants to be alone, away from anything and everyone, but he wants to go with the one he loves, he wants to just be alone and be the only two people in the world.

Another meaning I have thought of though is suicide. Death is associated with the cold. Drown, blue (face?) and cold are all death related. As well as his want to solve everything (his various everyday problems) through a beautiful goodbye, possibly suicide. He also uses the word "kill" as in "kill technology" I'm sure there are other words he could have used there. He is abandoning the world and escaping the only way he sees fit; suicide.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
