Lying face down, lying face down
In the gutter now, so damn proud
Well, I know, I know, I know
It's my fault, it's my fault

Lying face down, lying face down
In the gutter now, so damn proud
Well, I know, I know, I know
It's my fault, it's my fault

In a world where we all just waste away and suffer
(We just waste away)
In a place you cry for today
(We're all going mad)

Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)
Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)

Lying face down, lying face down
In the underground, so damn proud
Well, I know, I know, I know
It's my fault, it's my fault

In a world where we all just waste away and suffer
(We just waste away)
In a place you cry for today
(We've all been brainwashed)

Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)
Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)

Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)
Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)

Love, silence and fade away
(Darkness, darkness and decay)
Scarlet kiss and what to say
(Darkness, darkness and decay)

Love, silence and fade away
(Darkness, darkness and decay)
Scarlet kiss and what to say
(Darkness, darkness and decay)

Believe, believe, believe in me
Believe, believe, believe in me

Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)
Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)

Believe, believe, believe in me
(I will follow)
Believe, believe, believe in me

For me It's about someone who has tried living on there own, relying on themselves and shunning any help from friends, and he ends up in the gutter, helpless and pleeing for help. That person says "believe believe believe in me" he says "I will follow". I'm a Christian so I saw it as God helping me when I was in the gutter... But that's just how this song hit my heart, It's different for everyone. :)

I love this song. It's really good to sing along to, I think so anyway.

wiL has been talking alot lately about people believing in him. And I'm sure that I do.

just in general i thnk it's about how if people believe in you that you can do something with your life, you will be able to to it.

xedajx you're so right. when people have other people believing in them. It really will give you the motivation to keep living your life and trying to make it worthwhile. I went down the road of suicide. I thought everything was hopeless but my 2 best friends showed me I can be someone new and change my past. And now im doing better than ever. Help someone else you know by believing in them. It could save their life. =]

ok this song is totally different to any other songs and since most of the people that listen to aiden say "AIDEN YOU GUYS SAVED MY LIFE" and since they say"Music Is My Life" then wiL wanted to let to know the people that they can do anything they want that nobody can stop them that they are free that he BELIEVES. instead of just telling people why not put in a different perspective and since music is mostly listened to that talking might as well make a song about it. in my theory, of course

Well thats wot its about at the end of the day. We all come on here and give our opinion about wot songs mean, but all that really matters is wot it means to you, and how it affects you personally.

It's one of those songs that lifts your mood up. I dunno about you, but it makes me feel really happy. I <3 this song, and I <3 Aiden. (:

I think it's about trusting the wrong person...from the point of view of the person who was trusted "It's my fault", with some response from the truster....("Believe Believe Believe in me" "I will follow")

and more, I think it's kind of.... the person who was trusted lead the truster into a place of despair, and into a place of just ....bad...."In the gutter now, so damn proud...In the underground now, so damn proud" and maybe the truster is trying to show the person that they can do something on their own....that they don't need them....

and then "Love silence and fade away Darkness darkness and decay A scarlet kiss and what to say Darkness darkness and decay" is kind of like- it doesn't matter. nothing does.

This is reminds me of myself a lot. I feel like a lot of me give up and me and my dreams I wish they would just believe in me

It also reminds me of Robert Downey Jrs. Character Julian in Less Than Zero. He always had hope then everything crashed on him

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
