Backing up stories what you talk, Earl's Court
Nickname like the Kangaroo Valley
From top to the bottom of the under-walk
Where boys fuck girls that they never will marry
You're happy as Larry to dill-dally
Dark alleys, back from the rallies
It's bullshit they say that you got no talent
Well pigs fucking fly and it ain't about oil
And Fox News has always been fair and balanced

Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
Lost in the crowd and you feel alone
Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
Lost in the crowd and you feel alone

Dilly-dally past, you're the last fast man
To charge any money on your mobile phone
And it's all about this, understand man
We'll chat it like Dapper Dan 'cause Dan's always talking
Dan chats black, Buddy Holly ain't half of the money
Of the income that he makes down monthly
Through talking down on your mobile phone
While kiddie paints the town with the shilling, pence and pounds
It's illegal to think that you ain't fucking prone
To all of the bollocks that is chatting all around you
Sometimes it gets in your head and you can't get away from the feeling
That you're breaking on the ground
Breaking up no luck, stop like some fuck
Caught in a right rut, she looks like a right slut
You must lust, touch, 'cause you want so much
You look so shook but you're just man lovestruck

Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
Lost in the crowd and you feel alone
Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
Lost in the crowd and you feel alone
Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
Lost in the crowd and you feel alone
Do you ever feel like you want to go home?
Lost in the crowd and you feel alone

This is a great song about feeling alone in new surroundings, or in a crowd.

Fox News' slogan is "Fair&Balanced" despite them being notoriously right-wing and biased.

"Buddy Holly" is a mixture of cocaine & ecstasy.

drfunk... just because you take offense to the fact that jonwood1 pointed out what everyone knows to be true doesn't mean you have to jump on their back. they never said whose side their on and don't go around posting things on a MUSIC websites when all you're looking for is political warfare.... :/

jonwood1 did not present opinion.. but rather conjecture presented as fact. this is not the place to promote your casue or speak for others... also music and politics do go hand in hand

place it in the context of the song. mr. T is saying they present themselves as fair and balances tho they are pretty much to the right. well alot. so what he's saying is pretty much fact, no opinions here.

jonwood1... every single news agency is pandering to a particular audience be it right, left, black, or white. So you dont like fox news.. i suppose if someone asked you would tell them you prefer cnn or msnbc or abc.. cbs or nbc? all have been left wing biased. The new your times is notoriously left winged but you dont bother to point that out because it does not help your argument. The truth is they are all biased because they are selling something that generates ratings which attract big corp. to invest large adv dollars directed at a target market. If more people would rather get there news with a right winged point of view... well if your business is news i think you can figure out the rest. Dont be a schmuck and follow the cool trend of not thinking for yourself. think of news like you think of your cigarette... full of additives to make you want just one more. get a clue you moron.... :\

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
