Gosh, that line is amazing. I heard her play live and when Meiko sang that line my friend and I both turned to each other and before we even said anything we silently decided we love this song. We take the basics for granted.

She has such a warm sounding voice, she keeps everything simple and oh so lovely.

Since anyone has yet to analyze these lyrics, I'll be the first. Pretty self-explainatory, I suppose. It's about a woman whose optimistic about the future. What I really love about this song is that's its very simple. Its extremely human. Everyone dreams of moving into a new, nice place, spending a weekend at a swanky hotel, but then it goes deeper with a somewhat suble plea for peace. I think it might not fit too well in the song, but that was exactly the intent. Maybe that lifes not all about fanciness, but there are bigger problems to deal with.

i agree with lexie about the optimistic thing. but, it's also her optimism of building a whole new life with the one she loves. "Now all I know is I got you and you got me" i think it says so right there. and she keeps using "we" and always including the idea of having a nice future with the one she loves. and she feels lucky to have someone to share that with.
