"This Dark Day" as written by and Paul Mccoy Justin Rimer....
I'm flushing down pills
I'm lost in my will
This has been haunting me way too long
And I can't rewind
I'm suffering kind
I've been abusing way too long
I'm broken, suffocating

[Chorus 2]
I'll close my eyes and I'll drift away
I'll make it through my darkest day
And I'll sing this song at the top of my lungs
Until this dark day is done

Now I am trapped in the way
Of all my mistakes
I've been under for way too long
I'll sit in my shame
My hearts starts to race
The poison lingers in my veins
I'm broken, suffocating

[Chorus 1]

You said I'll never change
You said I never had the strength to break away
But now I've changed
It's time to take the pain and walk away
[Now to walk away]

[Chorus 2]
I'll open my eyes and I'll stay awake
I made it through my darkest day
And I'll sing this song at the top of my lungs
Now that this dark day is done

[Chorus 2]

General CommentI think this song is about overcoming many trials and tribulations in life through the spirit within you, and you don't need to be Religious to be Spiritual. This songs gives us 3 examples where someones spirit is being tested, one with drugs the other with somebody who has regret in life and another person who is being told they are a loser essentially and all of them are fighting back from within themselves....Almost using it as an inner push.

That's the way I feel anyways after listening and reading the lyrics to this song.

General Commentit is pretty great...Paul's voice on this track is amazing..he's really worked on his vocals.
This song is about addiction...literally pill abuse but I think the meaning can be applied to any addiction. He's beating this habit slowly and it's like he's willing himself to keep going...it's really uplifting and powerful.

General CommentLol not to do with the song but it always makes me laugh how in comments people refer to the person singing it as the person who has experienced it, I do it to. I just find it funny. I'm not accusing anybody. But anyway we don't know he experienced it.

General CommentIt is a meaningful song. To my mind is is about taking drugs and the causes and effects they have...
These lines underline my statement from a biological point of view.
    "My hearts starts to race
The poison lingers in my veins
    I'm broken, suffocating"
But it can also be about the temporary separation from god and which feelings you have when you are in such a phase.
