It's easy to feel like you're all alone
To feel like nobody knows
The great that you are, the good that's inside you
Is trying so hard to break through

Maybe it's your time to lift off and fly
You won't know if you never try
I will be there with you all of the way
You'll be fine

Don't let anyone tell you
That you're not strong enough
Don't give up
There's nothing wrong
With just being yourself
That's more than enough

So come on and raise your voice
Speak your mind and make some noise
And sing - Hey! Hey!
Make some noise - Hey! Hey yeah!

You want to be known
You want to be heard
And know you are beautiful
You have so much to give
Some change you wanna live
So shout it out and let it show

You have a diamond inside of your heart
A light that shines bright as the stars
Don't be afraid to be all that you are
You'll be fine

Don't let anyone tell you
That you're not strong enough
Don't give up
There's nothing wrong
With just being yourself
That's more than enough

So come on and raise your voice
Speak your mind and make some noise
And sing - Hey! Hey!
Make some noise - Hey! Hey yeah!

You can't just sit back and watch the world change
It matters what you've got to say
There's no one else who can stand in your place
So come on it's never too late

Maybe it's your time to lift off and fly
You won't know if you never try

Don't let anyone tell you
That you're not strong enough
Don't give up
There's nothing wrong
With just being yourself
That's more than enough

So come on and raise your voice
Speak your mind, make some noise
And sing - Hey! Hey!
Make some noise - Hey! Hey yeah!
Hey! Hey! Make some noise
Speak your mind and make some noise

And sing hey yeah, hey yeah, hey yeah
Make some noise
Hey yeah, hey yeah, hey yeah
Make some noise

Hey yeah, hey yeah, hey yeah
Make some noise
Hey yeah, hey yeah, hey yeah
Make some noise

I heard this song yesterday when I was searching around on youtube and I love it! I love songs like these, songs that say you're great as you are and you shouldn't have to change yourself because of a few things people say about you. I've had people make fun of me for... well me, when I was younger - all behind my back (mainly). I was always told what people would say about me from a friend that talked with these people that said 'em (sad thing was her mom was one of the people. It was pathetic). But you just have to get over what people say because in the long run, they're trying to make themselves feel better by taking you down. Speak up for yourself - Make Some Noise! =)

I love this song. It basically just says that you shouldn't be afriad to be yourself, regardless of what everybody else says. Some people don't like me because of my dad. He's got some issues, and I'm judged because of him. My friends stopped being my friends because of my dad. Some of my relatives on my mom's side stopped having contact with me and my sister because of our dad. When I was going through that the first time I heard this song and realized that I'M not a bad person, even though he's ruining my reputation. It's a truly moving song.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
