As for the song itself it is pretty straightforward. Girl and guy liked each other but she grew up and he didn't. He was still stuck in his high school phase and she matured and realized that this is not the type of guy she wants to be with.
This song is really cool. It's kind of about a girl thinking about her boyfriend and knowing that he doesn't deserve her. K, thanks. I LOVE ITT.

The song is more about a guy who isn't quite over the girl he dated in high school. Consider that the people writing these songs for Miley are in their 20s and 30s, so she's in high school yet singing about being out of high school. Whatever.
The best part of this song is the "Rock n' Roll! Roooooooooooooooooocccccckkkk n' ROLL" AutoTune stretch during the fade out.

youguys are wrong.. no offence. its about how she liked a guy who didnt like her back and then once she was all famous he liked her and she was like no way you missed your chance, and now she sees him for who he really is. :) i love miley.
