The guy is losing a girl and knows it's because he's made mistakes. He's wonders if she'd want to be with him if he had more money or if he were a different person.

I find the song to be verrry catchy. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it too. Overall, it's a pretty great song. It has me interested in listening to more of their stuff :D

Awesome song, I love the chorus, the first time i heard it the speaker made it sound kind of underwater and they were singing so fast i couldnt make out the chorus. But the chorus is my favorite part. I agree with Ireland94 on the meaning.

for the longest time i thought he was saying "if i had no money honey would you love me love me love me" and i liked that message ahah because it was like he was seeing if she liked him for him or for the money. but yeah i agree with you guys :)

give or take in a few months this song will be on the charts and played several million times on the radio. So lets enjoy it before the radio ruins it! Canadian bands rock fucking on!!!!!

I believe the guy in the song is trying to alleviate his girl's fears and insecurites

He's made mistakes and wonders if he can make up for it

He is trying to convince her, but it's not entirely his fault,

it's her failings/insecurities fears, but he can't help taking it upon himself that it must be solely his fault for the mistakes he's made

Then he wonders if it's his fault for not making enough money, AND for being such a loser (If I wasn't just somebody Like Me)

I love this line.

Okay, so my take of the song is he has made many mistakes, and although he can't erase them, he still regrets them.

And I think he is trying to tell his significant other that he can't forgive himself for his own mistakes so he doesn't expect them to either. But he wonders if he was someone else, or had more money, would that change it and make her love him?

i lovew this song. i saw them in concert with seether in october. they were great. this song had everyone jumpin. this song means alot cuz my ex was a spoiled little bitch, and used me for my money.
