I really like this song, I love how Nick can drive a song using only his voice.
I've always thought that this song was about semi-lost love, the first line, "Won't you please let me go These words lie inside they hurt me so" is like he's saying that 'our love is dying, just stop trying' , and the last line "I've lost you" seems to reinforce this for me.
