She said its not about you
It's not about you, it's me
She said it's not about you
It's not about you, it's me

And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you, well it's driving me mad
And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you is, well it's becoming a drag

She's a beautiful smile, she's a gleam in your eye
Dresses like a princess, playing games in your mind
Falling out of her top, runs a hand through her hair
Playing so hard to get, cause she knows that you care

I don't know how to love you more, how to love you more
How to love you more, my friend
I don't know how to love you more, how to love you more
How to love you more, my

I guess we got, I guess we got
I guess we got nothing to say
I guess we got, I guess we got
I guess we got

It's not about you (don't you go)
I guess we got
It's not about you (don't you go)
I guess we got

And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you, well it's driving me mad
And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you is, well it's making me sad

So is this how it ends? Well nobody knows
She'll be gone for a year and we'll see how it goes
Moving out of your flat, slipping right through your hands
She's a difficult girl and your a sillier man

I don't know how to love you more, how to love you more
How to love you more, my friend
I don't know how to love you more, how to love you more
How to love you more, my

I don't know how to love you more, how to love you more
How to love you more, my friend
I don't know how to love you more, how to love you more
How to love you more, my

I guess we got, I guess we got
I guess we got nothing to say
I guess we got, I guess we got
I guess we got

It's not about you (don't you go)
I guess we got
It's not about you (don't you go)
I guess we got

It's not about about you
(don't you go home, don't you go home, don't you leave me here alone)
(don't you go home, don't you go home, don't you leave me here alone)
(don't you go home, don't you go home, don't you leave me here alone)
(And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you, well it's driving me mad
And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you is, well your driving me)

I don't know, I don't know, I don't know
How to love you, but I love you so
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know
Why I love you, but I love you so

I don't know, I don't know, I don't know
Why I love you, but I love you so
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

I guess we got, I guess we got
I guess we got nothing to say
I guess we got, I guess we got
I guess we got (nothing to say)
I guess we got (nothing to say)
I guess we got (nothing to say)

It's not about about you
(don't you go home, don't you go home, don't you leave me here alone)
(don't you go home, don't you go home, don't you leave me here alone)
(don't you go home, don't you go home, don't you leave me here alone)
(And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you, well it's driving me mad
And sometimes its good
Sometimes its bad
But living with you is, well your driving me)

I guess it's about someone who really likes his friend, and he can't take it any longer to have her flirting with him though she doesn't want him and she knows that he has feelings for her and now he told her how he felt, and that he wants her to stop playing him, they've got nothing left to say

Yeah I think that's it. I love this song. The rhythm and the backing vocals, etc.

Although it sounds like it's his girlfriend sometimes 'living with you' could mean literally. Like he loves her, but she's playing him hot and cold basically. But Oelie's version makes more sense.

    :)

    Love this song.

i think the line 'moving out of your flat' sugests that its his girlfriend who feels she needs some time and space.

she's saying to him; 'She said it's not about you it's not about you, it's me (2x)

And sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad but living with you well it's driving me mad and sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad but living with you well it's becoming a drag'

He tries to make her stay saying; 'I don't know how to love you more how to love you more how to love you more my friend'

Then finaly admits defeat saying; 'I guess we got I guess we got I guess we got nothing to say' He then goes back to trying to change her mind; 'I don't know how to love you more how to love you more how to love you more my friend' but she doesn't change her mind and leaves him.

    good song, very sincere

I absolutley love this song. It's sort of a sad but meaningful song but at the same time it has a sort of upbeat tune if you know what I mean.

I agree that the song is about unrequited love. It's about a girl who knows that this man loves her but she strings him along knowing deep down that she doesn't have any feelings for him at all. So when she tries to break up with him she uses the typical excuse 'it's not about you, it's not about you, it's me'.

He tries to make himself feel better throughout the song by trying to convince himself that she was a difficult person to love, hence, 'I guess we've got nothing to say'/'I don't know how to love you more' but realises at the end that he cannot live with out her 'oh don't you leave me here alone'.

From my own experience, i can really relate to this song. I think its about a guy who is so in love with this girl and she knows it, but shes just playing with him.

Then, when he comes to ask her if she'll go out with him, she rejects him telling him no, and when he asks why, she says (as girls have told me on more than one occasion) "its not about you, its me" so as not to hurt him, yet thos just frustrates him more.

then as he says "dont you go home, dont you leave me on my own" he is just so upset and distraught and he knows its never goin to happen.

This Song relates to a situation I am in so well it's kindda scarey... Especially when you consider these lines:

She's a beautiful smile she's a gleam in your eye dresses like a princess playing games in your mind ... runs a hand through her hair playing so hard to get 'cause she knows that you care

I don't know how to love you more how to love you more how to love you more my friend

Over 6 years her and I have danced around eachother and when never ever seem to fall into eachother arms. The only difference between my situation and this song is that she does actually have feelings. Curse circumstances.

On the song front/ Very good song. Never heard anything else by them though. Ironicly I saw this song play on a music channel while I was at her place.

    Song Meaning

My friends sister-in-law dated Roy, the singer, when she was younger and said to my friend she could of sworn she said 'It's not about you, it's me' when she broke up with him due to her friends disagreeing with her choice of boyfriend when she was young.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
