Baby, baby
When we first met, I never felt something so strong
You were like my lover and my best friend
All wrapped in one with a ribbon on it
And all of a sudden you went and left
I didn't know how to follow
It's like a shock that spun me around
And now my heart's dead
I feel so empty and hollow

And I never gave myself to another the way I gave it to you
You don't even recognize the ways you hurt me, do you?
It's gonna take a miracle to bring me back
And you're the one to blame
And now I feel like

Oh, you're the reason why I'm thinking
I don't wanna smoke on these cigarettes no more
I guess that's what I get for wishful thinking
I should've never let you enter my door
Next time you wanna go on and leave
I should just let you go on and do it
'Cause now I'm using like I bleed

It's like I checked into rehab
And, baby, you're my disease
It's like I checked into rehab
And, baby, you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause, baby, you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause, baby, you're my disease

Damn, ain't it crazy when you're love swept?
You'd do anything for the one you love
'Cause anytime that you needed me I'd be there
It's like you were my favorite drug
The only problem is that you was using me
In a different way than I was using you
But now that I know it's not meant to be
It gotta go, I gotta wean myself off of you

And I never gave myself to another the way I gave it to you
You don't even recognize the way you hurt me, do you?
It's gonna take a miracle to bring me back
And you're the one to blame
'Cause now I feel like

Oh, you're the reason why I'm thinking
I don't wanna smoke on these cigarettes no more
I guess that's what I get for wishful thinking
I should've never let you enter my door
Next time you wanna go on and leave
I should just let you go on and do it
'Cause now I'm using like I bleed

It's like I checked into rehab
And, baby, you're my disease
It's like I checked into rehab
And, baby, you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause, baby, you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause, baby, you're my disease

(Uh, uh, now, ladies, gimme that)
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh
(Uh, now gimme that)
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh
(My ladies, gimme that)
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh
(Uh, now gimme that)
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh

Oh, you're the reason why I'm thinking
I don't wanna smoke on these cigarettes no more
I guess that's what I get for wishful thinking
I should've never let you enter my door
Next time you wanna go on and leave
I should just let you go on and do it
'Cause now I'm using like I bleed

It's like I checked into rehab
And, baby, you're my disease
It's like I checked into rehab
And, baby, you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause, baby, you're my disease
I gotta check into rehab
'Cause, baby, you're my disease

General Comment"now im using like i bleed" is one of the more significant lines, great way to describe addiction. When a person bleeds blood it doesn't clot quickly, it runs out and drains your life. saying he/she is so addicted to the person they're using them like they bleed shows the utter dependency the person had on the other.

More interesting is to think how Justin and Crazy started out, he has openly stated that he has tried most drugs, it sounds like Him and brit were having a great time being famous but he was addicted to her more than any other substance or thing they did together.

"It's like you were my favorite drug"

but when she cheated he said f this and decided "I don't wanna smoke on these cigarettes no more" related to all the other stupid things they probably did together.

Amazing Lyrics and sung perfectly by Rihanna, Timbaland does it again also.

General CommentIt really just means we have to get over the guy. So we talk about checking ourselves into rehab, meaning we have to get over him. And we compare the guy to a disease or an addiction. We're just saying, ''We don't wanna smoke any cigarettes no more,'' meaning we don't wanna deal with this BS anymore.

General CommentThis is one of my favourite songs - such beautifully written lyrics, simple but powerful.

'The only problem is that you was using me/In a different way than I was using you'

Her addiction to him, she was hooked on him so strongly she likens him to her 'favourite drug' yet he was simply using her. She is almost humiliated in this song and tries to sound strong but knowing she is too weak - needing rehab means you can't do it by yourself.

Such a sad song, but wonderful! I love you Rih and Justin Timberlake!

General CommentRihanna is so talented. I love her songs like this. They are beautiful and show off her vocal talent. She's wonderful. I know this is probably aimed at a guy... but I'm in a battle of overcoming an eating disorder, and I think if anyone else out there knows how that is, you could see how this could easily be applied to that.

General Commenti love these lyrics so much and it justs proves how great a songwriter justin has become! "ill never give myself to another the way i gave it to u" really resonates with me. i think its describing a relationship that seemed too good to be true in the end with hindsight - something we dont have when we are all loved up! you really dont think of consequences or how you would feel if things were to end between you and ur partner :(
