Just by the look of it
As in the way you wrote me off
I'm not supposed to see
Your eyes tell lies your mouth could never spill

I wasn't feeling it
I don't even need to shake your hand
Guess, you were born to quit
Your eyes tell lies your mouth could never spill
Eyes tell lies your mouth could never spill

So nice to meet you
I see right through that smile
So in other words
So nice to meet you
I hope I never see your face again
(Again, again)

You don't want a part of it
Don't wanna be seen with a type like you
I know you were born to quit
Your eyes tell lies your mouth could never spill

Can we get on with it? (Can we get on with it?)
We both need to go our separate ways
Never be seen again
Your eyes tell lies your mouth could never spill
Eyes tell lies your mouth could never spill

So nice to meet you
I see right through that smile
So in other words
So nice to meet you
I hope I never see your face again

Devil beside you
To watch you die when you can't find a remedy
So nice to meet you (meet you)
I hope I never see your face
I hope I never see your face again
(Again, again, again)

I hope I never see
Hope I never see your face
I hope I, I hope I, I hope I
I hope I never see your face

So nice to meet you
I see right through that smile
So in other words
So nice to meet you
I hope I never see your face again

Devil beside you
To watch you die 'cause you can't find a remedy
So nice to meet you (your eyes)
(Tell lies) I hope I never see your face
I hope I never see your face again (again)

Uh crap and I who was going to write this one .. lol

I admit with this one you can take a deep breath, look up at the sky and shout out loud is about the so called feud... the meaning is pretty obvious, someone that betrayed you and you don't want to waste your time fighting or careing about....

Another thing worth mentioning is that this is very different from the recent leaks, but it's got quality and core Used sound. I like :)

Nope, this ones about Bert's hatred for the fake people in Hollywood, he said it word for word in AP a few months back. But it definitely could be interpreted as the feud. Either way, Badass song

"Dont want a part of it, dont want to be seen with a type like you "

"i hope i never see your face again"

those two lines as well as a few other lines stuck out to me reminding me of my exbest friend. Since yea Bert is talking about fake people, the first person I thought of when I heard the song is ofcourse my ex best friend. And gladly we are graduated and will never see each other again. Because this song fits her perfectly.

    She is a true fake.

Eh, this is probably my favorite song off the new album. I'm glad to see The Used is making a comeback in my eyes.

The self-titled album's one of my favorite albums of all time, but I absolutely hate In Love And Death. It just sounds so...incincere...compared to the first album, I think.

this song took a very long time to grow on me, but i enjoy it a lot now. reminds me of the self titled style. maybe like "noise and kisses" or something.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
