(Take this)
There's always a flaw
(Take this)
A flaw that gets in
(Take this)
There's always a crack
(Shadow)

(Untold)
The hoax that harms
(The hoax)
That harms the spirit
(The first)
One to arrive
(The last)
To confess

(They've got)
Their arms outstretched
(They've got)
Their front row tickets
(They're the)
First to arrive
For the trial
For the raid

(We run)
We run for first
Off the road and off the record
(We run)
We run for first
But the first come in second

When we spit out
The names
Of those
We betrayed

When we spit out
The names
Of those
We betrayed

When we spit out
The names
Of those
We betrayed

When we spit out
The names
Of those
We betrayed

Lyrics are taken from the album booklet, but some wording may be different, it's hard to make out some of the lyrics, especially the screamed ones.

For those that don't know, the two vocalists are from Circle takes the square. I was listening to the newest 65daysofstatic album for the first time not to long ago. Got to the final track and was caught be surprise, you wouldn't really expect bands of such different genres coming together like this, unexpected but definitely welcomed. This is an excellent song, probably in my top 3 or 5 favourite 65daysofstatic songs.

Pretty sure when he's saying "Take this" he's actually saying "Confess"

Yeah, he's saying (well, screaming) "Confess" not "Take this"

You had the lyrics nearly right, and yeah you're right when you say they are in the album sleeve but all mixed up. Here is what they actually sing: --- Confess! Always a flaw Confess! A flaw that gets in Confess! Always a crack Shadow! Untold! The hoax that harms The hoax! That harms the spirit The first! One to arrive The last! To confess They've got! Their arms outstretched They've got! Their front row tickets They're the! First to arrive For the trial For the raid We run! We run for first Off the road and off the record We run! We run for first But the first come in second When we spit out The names Of those We betrayed... [repeats] -- There are also lines printed throughout the song which although appear to seem like they should be present, aren't. These include: (The shadow at the back of the family photographs) The pitch perfect child with her arms outstretched: daughter of the music teacher and the blonde heiress. The first to come and last to confess standing at the back in her party dress. -- It's a really clever song, to be honest, and is cleverly placed at the end to catch you out. May they forever grace the post-rock scene with their grandeur.

An amazing song. Seems to be about someone who is forced to give up the names of those he worked with against the government. Reminds me of NIN's Year Zero. The lyrics in this song are... different from anything I've ever heard. Especially towards the end - it's like they tried to conserve the truth in the lyrics, by not trying to cover it's faults.

Blank Space
Taylor Swift
This song is Swift's response to the negative reputation the media has given her. "I can make the bad guys good for a weekend" - the bad guys are the paparazzi to Swift, but are good to the "player" since association with Swift immediately gives publicity. Any publicity is good publicity and Swift knows this. "You can tell me when it's over" - the tabloids rumor relationships are over before the couple announces it officially. With this song Swift is portraying the way she is portrayed by the media. It is a sarcastic jab at how she views herself and how her "ex-lovers" only wanted to be with her to increase their fame. I applaud the brilliance in writing about how you always write about relationships. It is expected so Swift is giving the media what they want and profiting off the attention.

Moyet later described how her song "Goodbye 70's" had been inspired by her disillusionment with how the late-1970s punk scene had turned out, saying, "'Goodbye 70's' is about punk and not caring how you were dressed, and then I discovered that so many of my friends that I'd thought it all really meant something to just saw it as another trend... That's what 'Goodbye 70's' was all about, about how sour the whole thing became."
