Caught between one thick line
I can never see in the dark
Can you see at all?
Can you see at all?
Can you see at all?

And now you go (slip me the Vicodin)
This world is upside down
Night at the symphony
The bar is closing down (and now you go)
Slip me an antidote
Empty the cash-box out

And now you go (slip me the Vicodin)
This world is upside down
Night at the symphony
The bar is closing down (and now you go)
Slip me an antidote
Empty the cash-box out

And I don't know why
I don't know why I fight for you this way
Fight for you this way
Fight for you this way
(Take the call and quickly lie about)
(Who you've been seeing lately)
(Then forget about it all)

Stage lights are burning up
Running faster to this spot
Staring at these faces
Torn from all these places
And I won't go

Mace yourself, blame someone else
Fall face down, fluid leaking out your eyeballs
Mace yourself, blame someone else
It's okay, no one will believe you
Mace yourself, blame someone else
Fall face down, fluid leaking out your eyeballs
Mace yourself, blame someone else
It's okay, no one will believe you now

And I believed you're not okay
And I won't go far
And I believed you're not okay

And I don't know why
I don't know why I fight for you this way
Fight for you this way
Fight for you this way
(Take the call and quickly lie about)
(Who you've been seeing lately)
(Then forget about it all)

Hey girl, you're the best
I'm a sucker, maybe I should fuck her now

okay your wronge im sorry to say. iv met these boys at their show in roc-city ny. and the whole meaning to the song is its about a girl who was cheating. the part about the vicodin is bc he knew about it and could still fell/see what was happening but was completely numb to it on the inside. he trys to confront her about the cheating but she continues the lies and he loves her to much to keep the confrontation going, bc he doesnt want it to end like that.

    My Interpretation

So yeah, whoever will go through these comments will prolly understand that this song is about a couple where one of the sides cheating. What I love THE MOST in dgd is the fuckin unique way that anyone can understand the song. In the last lines : (Hey girl, you're the best I'm a sucker, maybe I should fuck her now) I think he means that - he complements her to make her feel good, says hes bad to make her feel special. But what hes getting is sex out of her,1-0 Cunt

Hmm, maybe it's about a guy who is cheated on by his girlfriend but no matter what, he still goes back to her even though he knows that she's just using him, he still feels compelled to stay with her

My heart melts when he sings "I don't know why I fight for you this way." Something about his voice makes me weak in the knees. Hah. I love this band. I can't wait for Oct. 20th. :]

As for the meaning, I think she's cheating on him and he questions why he keeps sticking around when all she does it hurt him and lies to him. "Hey girl You're the best I'm a sucker, maybe I should fuck her now." He saying she's good at lying and shit. And the last line either means he'll fuck her OR He's going to fuck someone else. Kinda like a "two can play this game" sort of thing. Idk. I'm taking a wild guess here.

His voice definitely makes me weak in the knees also. Especially that "I don't know why I fight for you this way" part.

"Slip me a vicodin" could also mean he WANTED to stay numb. I mean, not just what katelyn said. Whatever.

I've listened to this band for a total of one day and love them already.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
