You looked so happy
When I saw you with her
And I'm so glad
I knew you before you met her
So I know
How guys are before they get her.

I've got it down
You showed me again
Just so you know.
Don't push me around
I know you resent that I'm alone
Pity and mercy
Do nothing for me
You know me better than anyone.

Go get your girl
She's looking at you like you're crazy.
We can pretend you never even knew me.
It would work out
Don't let go of that one
And I'll find mine.

Run into you
Everytime I walk out my door.
Oh, it's precious
You've never held my hand like that before.
No need to stop and wave,
You stay calm and I'll be brave.
Don't ever look down on me
Don't ever feel bad for me.

I've got it down
You showed me again
Just so you know.
Don't push me around
I know you resent that I'm alone
Pity and mercy
Do nothing for me
You know me better than anyone.

Go get your girl
She's looking at you like you're crazy.
We can pretend you never even knew me.
It would work out
Don't let go of that one
And I'll find mine.

Oh, find mine.
Find mine.
Look at me look at me,
I've got time to find.
Mine. [4x]

I've got it down
You showed me again
Just so you know.
Don't push me around
I know you resent that I'm alone
Pity and mercy
Do nothing for me
You know me better than anyone.

Go get your girl
She's looking at you like you're crazy.
We can pretend you never even knew me.
It would work out
Don't let go of that one
And I'll find mine.
I'll find mine
I'll find mine

I can't believe no one's commented on this song...

I think this song is about a guy and a girl who dated for a while, and were pretty serious. Then they broke up, and he moved on to a girl and possibly got engaged to her. He keeps running into the old girlfriend and resents the fact that she's okay with his new life with his new girl because he was hoping she'd be jealous of him, but she's actually happy for him and hopes she finds her perfect guy just like he's found her perfrect girl.

You looked so happy When I saw you with her And I'm so glad I knew you before you met her So I know How guys are before they get her.

^^I think that's basically saying I was the one before "the one" and I'm glad I knew you before you started this knew chapter in your life.

First off, this song is incredible!

Well... I think that the person never had a relationship with the guy that she's adressing it to. They are on good terms, and they feel no bitterness to each other. For her to have such feelings for him and not hate him means that they never got it together in the first place. When it says "You never held my hand like that before" It probably means that he only held her hand like she was a friend, and only felt that for her. It's unrequited love, not a love that failed.

I wish I had found this song before I got together with my current boyfriend. It would have been the perfect way to describe my ex (following Stupid_Kid's take on the song)

i agree with Stupid_Kid's interpretation of the song.

& i think by the line "you never held my hand like that before" it doesn't mean that they weren't together. i think it means that they were together, and they have held hands, but it's not with the same degree of affection or love that the guy shows when he holds hands with his current girlfriend. it's like she's saying, "wow, she must be 'the one'... you never showed me that kind affection when we were together..." but not in a resentful kind of way.

    Great song...

I think the song means that: She was with this guy, and eventually the split apart. Now she knows how to handle these sutuations an is trying to say I don't need help, youve already showed me enough, she also sees that he regrets leaving her to be alone but that she does not want anyone to feel sorry for her and that he knows her better than anyone so he showed know she doesn't want any pity. I am geussing he saw her someone while he was with he new girlfriend and I geuss waved or went over to say hello, and that is why the old g/f goes on to say go back to get you girl because she is looking at you like wth are you doing...she than is like we will pretend we never knew eachother so you can go on with her, because you don't want to screw up this one, and don't worry about be, because I will find someone too. I am thinking they might live pretty close considering the fact she sees him every time she leaves her door. She thinks it so precious the way he holds his new g/f's hand because the way he used to hold his old g/f's hand was nothing lk tht. Like he held the old g/f's hand in a friendly way or non-romantic way even though they were together. Shes tellin him, so feel bad, you dont need to stop what you are doing and say hello, jsut be calm, she says I can be brave, I sont need you to help me, or feel bad for me, lk telling him she is fine, and even though its hurts, she will continue to be brave, and she wont worry because she knows someday, she will find someone good too.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
