So you say you're ignored
As it is
Well, give us your sad, sad trip
You're right, I get it
It all makes sense, you're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Assumed it's whether
We're right, or wrong
We're doomed, and there's plenty for all
How dare you catch me counting?
How dare you call at all?
How dare you call this suffering?
How dare you call at all?
You're right, I get it
It all makes sense, you're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Press on these tannins
They'll double in time
The touch of life, once failed to mention so far
Of course the law is fountains
Of face to face remorse
Of fast and restless blackmail
Like pent-up fetish force
You're right, I get it
It all makes sense, you're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Do you want it enough?
Do you want it at all?
Should you need it at all?
Takes a minute to see
Do you want it enough?
Do you want it at all?
Should you need it at all?
Do you want it or not?
You're right, I get it
It all makes sense, you're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Life, life, life
As it is
Well, give us your sad, sad trip
You're right, I get it
It all makes sense, you're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Assumed it's whether
We're right, or wrong
We're doomed, and there's plenty for all
How dare you catch me counting?
How dare you call at all?
How dare you call this suffering?
How dare you call at all?

most people make up excuses for why they cant do something and to them they are justified in what they say and believe that what ever someone says is wrong so hes critisizing tose people as to sayin sarcastically "ok im wrong and ur right" when he reall means your wrong u can do it... people live in an imaginary life because they are too afraid of what is real and hes saying that they need to get awway from that fear and just go do waht u can, do u want your dream to come tru? dou u want ut enough to go chase it? (the bridge is saying this)

So you say I make a man as it is
Well, give us your sad, sad trip
You're right, I get it, it all make sense
You're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Assumed it's whether we're right or wrong
We're doomed and there's plenty for all
How dare you catch me counting ?
How dare you call it off ?
How dare you call it suffering ?
How dare you call that on ?
You're right, I get it, it all makes sense
You're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Dress all these turnin's, they're doubled in time
The touch of life, what's failed to mention so far ?
Of course the lionous fountains
Or face the face we've mauled
Of fast and restless blackmail
Like pent up vanished falls
You're right, I get it, it all makes sense
You're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Do you want enough ?
Do you want it all ?
Should you need it at all ?
Takes a man to see
Do you want enough ?
Do you want it all ?
Should you need it at all ?
Do you want it or not ?
You're right, I get it, it all makes sense
You're the perfect person
So right, so wrong
Let's all live in your imaginary life
Life
Life
Life
i love it

*so seeing what tannins are we can come to a conclusion that he's speaking of pressing wine and doing it quickly I assume (doubled in time) to get the most out of the tannins (more wine), Jesus turned water into wine so I assume this is a reference to that.
I do believe it's the law of fountains as opposed to the la of fountains, cause "la" is a musical scale note so that would be no sense
As for the "the law is fountains" I googled what's the law of fountains and first thing that popped up was this Proverb -
The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
*So maybe that's what Chevelle was referencing, their lyrics are very intelligent and beg for deep interpretation normally, and that proverb makes sense with how they write their lyrics, so thoughtfully. Also teamed with the tannin interpretation I think it follows the spiritual element present in many Chevelle lyrics so it fits.
So he's telling this person who's believes there way is the way and they're always right that maybe the path their on is the wrong one, they should go in a positive life affirming direction, not into the snares of death as they are seemingly headed.
"How dare you catch me counting.
How dare you all at all"
And
"Of course the law is fountains
Of face to face remorse."
If anyone could tell me what they think the latter means, I'd love to know. DX
IMO, if these lyrics are true to the music video then it would make sense. If you ever think about a fountain theres a base, middle and the top where the water comes out. If its the law of fountain then my guess is that the top always come first, then the middle, and lastly its the bottom who get whatever it is last. Like in the video, its the executives who get anything first before anyone.
