Time holds us for the minute,
It drives the risks like penicillin
Each of these men holds a pentagram
So recent all the surge
They're pushing off the chest
We know we miss one cell
Should've combine to save brains.
How 'bout I teach you to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
He's gotten through the past
So he can blame few
Stop the chainsaw buzz
This passing eye-sore
These are the longest days
Sits like a razor
How many found?
We know we miss one cell
Should've combine to save brains.
How 'bout I teach you to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
This defines him
So useless these rules
Tempting timing
I should use the same tools
We know we miss one cell
Should've combine to save brains.
How 'bout I teach you to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
Should've combine to save brains.
How 'bout I teach you to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
Imagine this
Imagine this
Imagine this, one.
It drives the risks like penicillin
Each of these men holds a pentagram
So recent all the surge
They're pushing off the chest
We know we miss one cell
Should've combine to save brains.
How 'bout I teach you to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
He's gotten through the past

Stop the chainsaw buzz
This passing eye-sore

I think it might be a semi-inspirational song about proving all those who doubt you wrong by doing the "impossible."
All these tests of Character?
"He's gotten through the piss" = beating people's expectations
"So he can blame few" = Calling out people for under-estamating him
"Slept off the chainsaw buzz" = Ignoring the constant doubts
"This passing eye-sore" = It'll be over soon and these people will be proven wrong
"Lift up the head so proud." = He did it and has proven himself
"Imagine this one cell." = People are starting to realize this guy is'nt just "One Cell" anymore but a Brainiac.
"Time holds us for the minute," = They're stunned by "One Cell."
"So recent all the surge, They're pushing off the chart." = He's starting to "do something."
But that's my interpretation, be it a little late haha. I love this song and this band. This is the reason too, so great to interepert.
It dries the wrists like penicillin
Each of these men holds a pentagram
So ease up on the slurs
They're pushing off the charts
We know him as one cell
Should've combined to save brains.
How 'bout I teach him to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
He's gotten through the piss
So he can blame few
Slept off the chainsaw buzz
This passing eye-sore
These are the longest days
Sits like a razor
How many found?
We know we miss one cell
Should've combined to save brains.
How 'bout I teach him to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
This defines him
So useless these rules
Tempting timing
I should use the same tools
We know we miss one cell
Should've combined to save brains.
How 'bout I teach him to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
Should've combined to save brains.
How 'bout I teach him to crawl.
Lift up the head so proud.
Imagine this one cell.
Imagine this
Imagine this
Imagine this
One.
please fix the lyrics, thank you...
i have a belief about what this could mean, i may be wrong so dont criticize, but
i think its about joe leaving the band... i mean like the fisrt verse (to me) is saying that the producers and everyone said that they didnt need joe, then pete and sam went along with it
then the chorus is saying that there missing a part of the band (one cell) and that they shouldve tried harder to keep him in the band
then its kinda like ok joes gotten over being out of the band and they've gotten over him not being in the band and they dont blame anyone for ehat has happened
then the bridge is saying that this song defines what happened... and the usless there rules part refers to how when in a band u HAVE to tour is what u do, and joe didnt wanna do the traveling so the "rules" were useless... so in the end he's imagining if the split between the band and joe never happened (my opinion)
I'm starting to think Pete is a supporter of Skinner and Pavlov.
it's clearly 'dries the wrist like penicillin'
i love chevelle so much.
Bless,
