Have you ever been lost
Floating on the ground
Like a fading frost?
You've fallen asleep
Next to your bed
And you feel so low

Oh, they've stolen your pride
Stand up while your conscience sits aside
I've made up my mind
Half of the time, and I feel so low

[Chorus]
Stay and hijack the hurt
I feel so low, I feel so high
Take a look inside my mind

If the object was clear
There wouldn't be a point
Only godless fear
By the end of July
I wonder, will I still feel so low?

Oh, I am host to a guide
Moving in time
And falling in line
I've made up my mind
The papers are signed
And I feel so low

[Chorus]

Once a lover
Never suffer
So far away from here
Feeling hollow
Head to toe, so low

[Chorus]

Stay and hijack the hurt I feel so low I feel so high Take a look inside my mind

Clever I thought. I think this is what most artist do anyway, they feel so low, so painful, and then they own the place that they are in by endulging in it and making something out of it. Im sure everyone has met those people that are addicted to feeling low. The ones that are too lazy to do the work to fill their lives that they settle for the intense stimulous of reveling in their hollowness and pain, hahah which only brings more pain and can send them into a downward spiral. For some though, like perciphany, can bring about such beauty. But Daniel is now in his life, the more evolved human, he has learned to create from another place. LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM!

I think it's possibly about knowing how to control your 'low'. Hijacking your wounds and being able to do good stuff with it, like songs like this :3

yeah i agree i think that Stay and hijack the hurt I feel so low I feel so high Take a look inside my mind

If the object was clear There wouldn't be a point Only Godless fear

is about how feeling 'low' brings out the best in him and this is where his lyrics comes from and if he knew what everything he was feeling meant or how things would turn out in his life there wouldnt be much point ot it he feels so high because of the music he makes

i think that he is just expressing a low mood in a song as well, which is a cathartic experience. it gives a more whimsical feeling and a kind of acceptance about it as opposed to being hopeless. and maybe how it is better to feel something than nothing at all, "never suffer" or that could also be a reference to his divorce and how he felt? like with 'the papers are signed' like the divorce papers, and 'once a lover'...that was just one thought.

    Song Meaning

Someone has commented the "papers are signed" part may refer to divorce. It could be, but I don't think so. The whole theme of the verse is the creative process ignited by feeling low.

Oh, I'm host to a guide - the feeling an artist gets when ideas flow from out of nowhere, like you are channeling them from a source other than yourself Moving in time Falling in line - these are direct mentions to musical writing. "Time" is the duration, accents, refers to rhythm. "Line" is where you write your choice of notes in a music sheet. I've made up my mind - generic, it could mean a multitude of things, but in the composer's interpretation it probably means having to choose the best ideas for the song. Papers are signed - in the same interpretation, it's the artist's signature, the work is done. And I feel so low - still.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way.
