"Teenage Hustling" as written by and Tori Amos....
You think you can come around here
All up in his face
All up in my world

You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you do oh oh

You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you

You gotta right
You gotta right
To know
You gotta right
You gotta right
To know

Me and my teenage hustling
I've been working it since I was fourteen
Me and my teenage hustling
I've been working it since I was fourteen
Me and my teenage hustling
It's gonna save me
Save me
Save me
Save me
Save me
Save me
From your dirty dealings

You're a dirty girl
You're such a dirty girl
And you better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you do oh oh
You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you

Maybe the riddle of his accident
Goes back to your gossip
With a ferocious strategy
You play wounded in his cockpit
But I think that you forgot
My days of teenage hustling

You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you do oh oh
You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you

You gotta right
You gotta right to know
You gotta right
You gotta right to know
You gotta right
You gotta right to know

Me and my teenage hustling
I've been working it since I was fourteen
Me and my teenage hustling
I've been working it since I was fourteen
But you've been skanking around
With your talentless trash
You only shoot blanks
At your cock-sure best
Me and my teenage hustling
Me and my teenage hustling
It's gonna save me
Save me
Save me from
Save me (save me)
Save me (save me)
Save me (save me)
From your dirty dealings

Now I don't mind a dirty girl
Said I don't mind
A dirty girl
You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you do oh oh
You better know
You better know
You better know oh oh
How much you do
How much you do
How much you do oh oh

General CommentMy thoughts are this is Pip singing to another girl, probably much younger, who is trying to move in on her territory (probably involving a man) and using poor manipulation tricks to try and discredit Pip. Pip warning her that she's on to her and she can't pull the wool over her eyes. "You gotta right to know" is her telling her out of courtesy and some respect that her attempts are useless because Pip knows every trick in the book because she too was once this girl. She also hints to a certain respect for the 'other' girl by saying "Now I don't mind a dirty girl". I think that Pip is saying - I know what you're up to and you're not gonna get away with it but it doesn't mean I don't respect your position because I understand, I was there once just like you. Just don't f*ck with me. "I'm at your door"

General CommentThis song almost seems to be about Tori's views on what is happening to the music industry these days with all of these pop artists that sound ALL THE SAME ("You've been skanking around with your talentless trash") and how she's been around long enough to realize that this is happening. Think about it. "I've been workin' it since I'z fourteen"... Tori has been performing since she was around that age.
