Watch the sun
As it crawls across a final time
And it feels like
Like it was a friend

It is watching us
And the world we set on fire
Do you wonder
If it feels the same?

And the sky is filled with light
Can you see it?
All the black is really white
If you believe it

As your time is running out
Let me take away your doubt
You can find a better a place
In this twilight

Dust to dust
Ashes in your hair remind me
What it feels like
And I won't feel again

Night descends
Could I have been a better person?
If I could only
Do it all again

And the sky is filled with light
Can you see it?
All the black is really white
If you believe it

And the longing that you feel
You know none of this is real
You will find a better a place
In this twilight

    Hey Everyone,

Sorry to join so late, but Trant hit this one on the head.

Trent Reznor has definitely been studying Global Warming/Climate Change, or listening to someone that knows a lot about it.

"In This Twilight" he is not describing a nuclear bomb, or war etc, he is describing the aftermath of "The Tipping Point".

Nobody knows when, where, or what event will tip the balance, but here goes my attempt at a play by play:

1.) We continue to pollute, put miore CO2 in the air, temperature keeps going up, land dries out.

2.) Then massive forest fires occur, releasing more Co2 in the air making it hotter and hotter. Then more fires, more heat and this cycle continues on and on until ther is nothing left to burn.

3.) But when that happens there is so much "White Smoke" in the air, that it actually reflects the sunlight back into space like a giant mirror. So he is right, it really is white, but becuase the sun can't penetrate through, we are in total darkness.

This riddle of his is almost like the end of Dark Side of the Moon - the songs "Brain Damage and A Eclipse": The crazy people that exist on the "Dark Side Of the Moon" are the ones that actualy "Shine" or light up when the "Sun is Eclipsed By the Moon" BRILLIANT METAPHOR AND PARADOX these guys have the ability to come with!

This phenoenon is already occuring with air pollution, its called Global Dimming - 30% less sunlight reaches the ground that 30 years ago, so uif this continues we could have food shortages, can't grow crops. - go google the term, check it out - scary stuff.

Anyways, it will be our twilight becuase in about 1 year after the total darkness, we have no plants, then other animals die, so we have no food, and then we get smoked by a winter that will last about 10,000 years.

So yes, this wasn't really a fictional scenario he described, it is WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE DON'T SMARTEN UP!

You guys take care, and like you, I just love the last two songs, as sad as it they are, they at least let me face the future, and acknowledge what the end will look like.

Take Care - Get a gas mask and a swaeter!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
