"About Your Dress" as written by Shepherd Rupert Alexander J. Jarvis, Robert Dylan Thomas, Orlando Thomas Penhale Weeks, Felix White and Hugo White....
It's just what all young lovers do
It's just what all young lovers do

I noticed you
You stood out like a sore thumb
The most
Beautiful sore thumb I'd ever seen
I took you out
And showed you a good time
We danced all night
And I waited till the time was right when
I was almost sick on you
Echo echo of mine

Do you recall
The night that we first met
And how I burnt your dress
With my cigarette
I don't know why
But I played this game
For you
I'm guessing it's just what all young lovers do

You say
That it's never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Echo echo of mine

Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right
Never wrong never right

So echo on
Echo on
Echo on
Echo

It's just what all young lovers do
It's just what all young lovers do
It's just what all young lovers do

General CommentIm not sure what its about but its an excellent song.

Id say maybe its about playing hard to get.. e.g.

"I dont know why Im playing this game with you, Im guessing its just what all young lovers do".

General CommentI think this is about a first date that goes a bit wrong... I think it shows the clumsiness of young love too
It's a great song either way

General CommentI agree with the above person, and also possibly starting his first proper relationship, and isn't sure what to do so he looks at other young lovers to copy their example- maybe a relationship conforming to the mould of every other relationship- "I’m guessing it’s just what all young lovers do" and the arguments too- "Never wrong never right".

General CommentI love this song, especially the "You stood out like a sore thumb, the most beautiful sore thumb I’d ever seen...". Definitely about young love and how awkward and clumsy it can be.

General CommentIf you watch to the music video, at least the brit version, they have sex. Which leads me to suggest that perhaps it's about losing your virginity, which would make ironic and sadly funny the line "it's just what all young lover's do."

General Commenti think this song is just commentating on what its like to be young and in love, and the narrator wonders whether all young lovers go about love in the same way he does and whether everyone suffers the same things as him
