Dog Lyrics
It’s like for a dog
All the feelings you’ve got for me
It’s like for a dog
I wanna feel it for a dog
I wanna feel it
I wanna feel it for a dog
I wanna feel it
I wanna feel it for a dog
I wanna feel it
I wanna feel it for a dog

i agree with jbraking, it's 'oh what a feeling, what a feeling for a dog'
the song has always meant to me her view on a relationship where she's seen w/ simplicity.
she repeats this line in question so that it reaps of sadness and introspection. it's not only about her own feelings on a human needing more than a dog, but also how sad yet beautiful it is to be an animal of such simplicity.
ps....this would definitely be in my top 25 songs ever written poll.

my mother always talks about dogs just want to hump each other.

seems to me like she's devoted, he looks at her with affection but not passion yet expects her loyalty, like we look at dogs

Isn't it "What a feeling; what a feeling for a dog"?

there's so many subtle melancholic dimensions to her songs, which would otherwise sound rather pop-ish and relatively spirited. her almost emphatically tragic devotion to repetition, in this song particularly, just breaks my heart.
