Cut my eyes on visions of you
Memories aren't clear
I lost touch with the boy I knew
While you were still here

Have you met your god?
Does he know I'm in pain?
Does he even have any plans
For me to see you again?

Morning sadness
So we meet again
Pack your bags 'cause we're leaving
Tonight

Damage done by a lost loved one
You can never forget
Questioning my faith in God
I know evil exists

So I look past the sky
It's where we're going tonight

Morning sadness
So we meet again
Pack your bags 'cause we're leaving
Tonight
On a mission to find her in heaven
Maybe we'll get to sleep next to God tonight

There's a razor with my name
It carves my life away
And I'll find out who's real
Right now

Morning sadness
So we meet again
Pack your bags 'cause we're leaving
It's the only way
To untie the pain
From a heart that has suffered
It's the only way
To untie the pain
From a mind that is strangled

I kind of think this is about Matthew and Nathan losing their mother. I know, that has nothing to do with the big elaborate ML story, but they've said their music garners inspiration from their actual lives, so this may be it. Obviously someone has died ("while you were still here" "lost loved one" and all this talk about meeting God), so I think it's about the sadness that comes when losing someone so close to you.

i saw madina lake back in june, and my friend and i actually asked nathan leone about this song. he said that when he and matthew were 12, their mother died in a car crash. they were obviously really sad and everything, so nathan wondered if he could see her again if he killed himself. he wondered if he would go to heaven with her:

Have you met your god? Does he know I'm in pain? Does he even have any plans For me to see you again?

i think it was pretty deep for a 12 year old. but yeah, so thats what he told us, so it must be true.

and another thing he said was that alot of bands dont write their own songs... it makes you wonder who he was talking about...

This song means a lot to me.

It is about the tragic loss of their mother, sadly. Its really sad that people this young should have to deal with things like this :(. Actually its really sad that anyone should have to deal with this...

But it has inspired ML greatly and they will see their mother in heaven as soon as they have shown the world how great they are and lived their dream.

i have no idea what the woman is saying... lo siento. this is an amazing song. i agree with what carissica said. it's about someone contemplating suicide after the death of someone close to them. another great song from an incredible band. go Madina Lake!!!

I was just thinking about this. Has anyone noticed that he sings "Have you met your god?" Almost as if it's a God that he doesn't believe in. As if they were athiest, and their mother always was religious toward them. So when she died, they don't know what to think and are hoping that she did meet who she always believed in. I personally think that one line makes the song have a lot of extra meaning.

I can't make out the woman either, I think she says something about staying free though, whatever it is it is awesome and chilling. I love this song.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
