The lights go dim
And eyes begin to close
Oh no
A simple conversation sparks the love inside of him
You live two lives and never think about your actions
Who is the one you try to please
With no reguard for anyone
Who is the one you try to please
You taste the leather of that shoe
It comes with the words you say
The week seems long and you can't wait till your sunday morning masquerade
Let down your guard and everything just seems to fall to shame
With a nervous look you search but you're only one to blame
You live two lives and never think about your actions
Who is the one you try to please
With no reguard for anyone
Who is the one you try to please
Feel glass against your face
Hopeless for this moment
You cry out for help
He has been watching all along
This is ending right now
This is a call to the faithful
An outstretched arm to the faithless

It's Like he's saying He's doing everything he can to make it right but it alll comes out to pleasing himself.

I love this line. It's saying that even though this person has been living a life that is less than perfect, someone took the time to talk to him about his life/Jesus, and it sparked something inside of him. Then he realized that he had been living a fake life, hurting people around him while caring only for himself. and the last lines indicate a change or a call to change his life for the better.

General Commentthis song is talking about a hypocrite who has a mask for church and a mask for the world.
They go to church and act holy yet when they go out into the world they conform and try to please people and be in the "in crowd". I like how it says "you taste the leather on the shoe" cause it means they put their foot in their mouth because they regret the things they say cause it hurts their witness.

A call to the faithful= Telling the true christians to rise up.
With outstreched arms to the faithless= Saying no matter what youve done,do,or will do, God will still love you.

General CommentOh my gosh, that's as satanic as you can get. I'll bet they sacrificed an audience member as soon as their show was done. Don't listen to these guys anymore, you might start killing people just so you can soak yourself in their blood.

For real FOC? Are you stupid?

General CommentI think it's definitely calling someone out on living a life on the fence. They have one foot in the world, and another in the church. God's word is clear, "A house divided against itself can't stand." Make the choice on who you're going to serve, God, or yourself?

General CommentI think this song is about people who go to church on sunday then live the rest of their lives as sinners with no intention to please God, but to live for themselves - making their decisions based on their own desires and things of this world, rather than to live up to God statutes.
This can also tie to organized religion of today which is all about rules and rituals but takes away from a relationship with God.

It could also be about people who have faith in Christ, but not enough to show it in front of others. They want to do whats right in God's name, but are afraid to do so because of what people will think of them. This would still mean that they are putting themselves and their own feelings before God's - meaning that they are living to please themselves, even thought they really want to please God.

Either way, the song is calling out to the people who truly believe and truly have a relationship with God that they appreciate and live for. The ones who truly have faith. But those who dont are still being called upon with an outstrecthed because God always forgives and rejoices over a saved Christian
