Yep, Agent Orange was the name given to a certain type of herbacide that the US military used to make clearings in Vietnam. They didn't know it at the time, but Agent Orange was a carcinogen(cancer causing agent) and a really strong one too. So thousands of vietnamese civilians, and US soldiers died from exposure to the chemical. And even still to this day, children are born with birth defects and mental retardation as a result of Agent Orange.

Since that agent was a herbacide it was like fire (devastating the forests and people), but you can't see the flames just the "burned" victims that started to appear some time later, when it was too late..

As said above, it's a herbicide. Much like fire it destroys the trees, but since it is a chemical it doesn't burn. Destroys like a fire would, yet it does not burn.
