This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Watching myself when I'm taking strides but here comes the moon and it feels and it feels like
An informer quick run away hide before they see you, you know it is all, all a glow
Walking on water seems parlays now you got my trust and it feels, and it feels like sabotage when I'm pulling triggers back on myself you know it is all I know, is all I know
And it feels so real from the outside looking in
And it feels so real from the outside
From the out
From the out tyrant
Tyrant tyrant
Feel capable of most anything this crippled bears gonna sing gonna bring you all the years is
Quick turn around look your shadows could could not beautiful lies for you is what they do ..
And it feels so real from the outside looking in
And it feels so real from the outside
From the out
From the out tyrant
Tyrant tyrant
I'll stay with apathy I'm blind but I can see the tyrant to the bone
I'll stay with apathy I'm blind but I can see
Don't justify me
Don't justify me
Don't justify me
No no no no no no
And it feels so real from the outside looking in

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Blue
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
They are nott a fucking Christian band.
& I think this song is about fighting someone who is controlling and thinks they are better than everyone else. No1 else notices it but he does. But instead of fighting fire with fire, he does so with water, i.e. turning the other cheek and not reacting. Summed up really when he says;
"I'll stay With apathy I'm blind But I can see A tyrant To the bones"
Fighting a Sociopath maybe?
I think this song is about him trying to run from himself. The more I listen to OneRepublic the more convinced I am that they have some underlying religious meanings..this lyric in this song really made me start noticing the little refrences....
Walking on water Seems perilous Now you've got my trust
I think it's about the road to fame. He's a bit scared, "Quick run away Hide Before they see you You know it is all All a glow"
And he's standing there, on the outside - looking in. He's also singing about how it feels right from where he's standing, looking in.. But there, on the inside it's all lies.
Just the feeling I got when reading the lyrics..
It's great though.. All the songs on their album are. Brilliant voice and lyrics! Love them!
If you didn't notice that they are pretty much Christian by now your kinda blind. The style totally gives it away.
The vocals in this song rock my socks.
im going to ahve to agree with abbey 14, and supastar i dont care if they are a christian band or not they dont have to label themselves as a "christian band" to be believers in God. Read their lyrics closer in almost every song they refer to God. plus i know for a fact that they are believers and they are singin about what thet are passionate about.
ANd this sonng is about fighting someone who is controlling but that somone is his own self. he's fighting his own will to be a tryant. he is trying to give his trust to God but its hard
I completely agree with StayGold. They are believers. And you can tell when they sing they are very passionate about it.
i see this song more as a political attack.
"Quick, runaway, hide, before they see you" - don't let yourself be sucked into the shambles that is the government nowadays, making out that they are like hunters.
"It's all a glow" - its all a front.
"Walking on water seems perilous now You’ve got my trust, and it feels, and it feels Like sabotage, but I’m pulling triggers back on myself" - a stab at how religion is ignored in politics, everythings made out to be a danger or a threat. he knows its a 'sabotage' but it's all he knows and all he hears so he accepts it like everything else.
"And it feels so real from the outside looking in" - everythings so over-publicized, carefully crafted and shoved in your face it seems so real
"Tyrant" - are the leaders tyrants? for doing whats easy instead of what's right? or is it him .. for taking the easy option and believing what they say rather than fight it.
"stained with apathy, i'm blind but i can see" - people are uncaring about whether what they hear and see everyday is a sham. they just get on with it. they are blind to the manipulation, yet they see what is wanted for them to see.
"gonna bring you all the answers, quick turn around, look" - they will give you all the answers they think you should know to give them power.
yes maybe i sound a little irrational. i'm very anti media + government at this moment so may be bias but this was the message i got from the song as soon as i listened to it. even the riff, like a quick paced beat of the fast lives we live - or a heart beat, on edge from the dangers we are led to fear.
basically religion v. politics. and how you cant seem to support both. will he take the easy route? (tyranny) or fight for his beliefs.

I'm glad someone finally sees it.
well you know what, i think this song is ABOUT religion.
Youve got my trust, and it feels, and it feels Like sabotage, but I'm pulling triggers back on myself And you know it is all All I know, (it's) all I know
the religion is luring him in with the answers that he wants, that aren't truthful (your shadow cooking up beautiful lies for you) but the religion has his trust so he believes it is true - the shadow symbolising the God that doesn't exist - it's just a shadow.
And while it feels like somebody is sabotaging his mind, he realises that as he studies his religion, he's the one doing the damage (pulling triggers on himself)
now, the chorus: And it feels so real from the outside looking in Yeah, it feels so real from the outside The religion appears real to an outsider looking in, unaware of all the contradictions, discriminations and inequalities preached in it - taking the religion at face value: essentially, 'some big guy in the sky who loves you' without having learned the fine details of the religion, it seems harmless, and so real, like there could be no other way
"I'll stay with apathy I'm blind but I can see A tyrant to the bones"
he's in the process of truly discovering himself, he's been blinded by his religious studies, but he isn't completely blind as his mind matures, he realises that he can still see, and he sees the God as a tyrant to the core.
it's a song about self-discovery. seriously. you people who think it's pro-christian are only looking at half the song - the face value of it.
but if you guys don't like that interpretation, dont like the way it reveals your insecurities, just ignore me, and stay blind...
I think your wrong I am an atheist but your point on religion makes no sense however I do agree on your idea of the song being about self discovery, but I don't agree it's through any religious aspect.
