Teary, tainted eyes
Cold and cracked
The disbelieving crystal glare
What does this to you
Who broke the trendy promises
To make the sky so gray
On this typical day

[Chorus:]
Take my life
And show me what I'm living for
There's nothing I won't do
For the answer

Living skeptical
Questioning everything
That I haven't seen
Why can't I just cave
And accept what everybody thinks
To save my piece of mind
My piece of mind

[Chorus:]

Give me hope
And prove to me that this is worth it
It's killing me like a cancer
And I'm still looking for the answer
I'm still looking for

Aimless, ordinary
Stationary dream
Self destruct
Under the pressure changing me
Changing me

[Chorus:]

Give me hope
And prove to me that this is worth it
It's killing me like a cancer
And I'm still looking for the answer
I'm still looking for

it's pretty clear that he is talking about God. the lyrics say that God is the only thing that can depended on time after time and never fail you. Most material possessions make their way out of your life in one way or another. The same thing can be said about people, too. The words are prettier than the instrumentals, though. His voice sounds strained and too exerted. Just my opinion though.
