We should get jerseys 'cause we make a good team
But yours would look better than mine 'cause you're out of my league

And I know that it's so cliched to tell you that everyday
I spend with you is the new best day of my life
And everyone watching us just turns away with disgust
This jealously, they can see that we've got it going on

I'm racking my brain for a new improved way
To let you know, you're more to me than what I know how to say
You're okay with the way this is going to be
'Cause this is going to be the best thing we've ever seen

If anyone could make me a better person, you could
All I gotta say is I must have done something good
You came along one day and you rearranged my life
All I gotta say is I must have done something right
I must have done something right

And maybe I'm just lucky 'cause it's hard to believe
Believe that somebody like you'd end up with someone like me

And I know that it's so cliched to talk about you this way
But I'll push all my inhibitions aside
It's so very obvious to everyone watching us
That we have got something real good going on

I'm racking my brain for a new improved way
To let you know, you're more to me than what I know how to say
You're okay with the way this is going to be
'Cause this is going to be the best thing we've ever seen

If anyone could make me a better person, you could
All I gotta say is I must have done something good
You came along one day and you rearranged my life
All I gotta say is I must have done something right
I must have done something right

If anyone could make me a better person, you could
All I gotta say is I must have done something good
You came along one day and you rearranged my life
All I gotta say is I must have done something right

If anyone could make me a better person, you could
All I gotta say is I must have done something good
You came along one day and you rearranged my life
All I gotta say is I must have done something right

I must have done something right
I must have done something right
I must have done something right

its definately about a girl, and not God. and im a christain, so im not downputting God, but God doesnt change your life cos you did something right, he does it because He loves us. and i think matty t knows that.

but damn, she must have some good girl to "turn his life around"

i don't see how anyone could think this sog is about God

"We should get jerseys cause we make a good team But yours would look better than mine Cause your out of my league"

    God jerseys?hmmmm

"And maybe I’m just lucky cause it’s hard to believe Believe that somebody like you, end up with someone like me"

i think this part solidifies that it's a human relationship, not a religous one

I LOVE this song, and relient K.

What i love about this song is that it's so cheezy, i mean you can't deney it, and it has a catchy pop-ish toon. Many Pop songs are catchy and extremly cheezy yet they have no really meaning, they atr just a crap cheezy pop song but with this song you can actually feel that everything Matt is saying he really means, that he manages to pull off the cheeseyness and it is quite obvious, just something about it, that this song was written for a very special someone and everytime i listen to this song i just smile and become extremly happy, so happy i almost cry. why? because i'm not really good at trusting guys, like i had neglectful, cheating father and this song just makes me know that there are some guys out their who are so sweet and kind and actually really love a specific girl. It makes me so happy and gives me so much hope that this upbeat cheezy song was written for a girl or something.

Am i making sense? i know it's just a cheezy love song but it just makes me so extremly happy and assures me that their are good guys out their and i find it scary how i can actally sense the love in the song :)

Good gravy what a great song!

Love the upbeat happy music and the obscenely happy lyrics! Its a song about what everyone wants: Someone totally awesome to call their own. Someone who makes them happy, who makes them want to be a better person. :-) I have felt that way in my life before, and I am sure that I will again.

I hope everyone feels this way at least once in his or her life. Its such a glorious feeling to be in love.

Musically I especially like the way certain parts of the song are sung

"And I know that it's so cliche To tell you that everyday Spent with you is the new best day of my life Everyone watching us just turns away with disgust This jealousy they can see that we've got it going on"

    and

"And I know that it's so cliche To talk about you this way But I'll push all my inhibitions aside It's so very obvious to every one watching us That we have got something real good going on"

It reminds me of another song, but I cannot think of what it is for some reason. Regardless, what a great song. ^.^

Firstly, it's "racking" my brain, not "wreckin".

Pretty simple. Its about a girl. Theissen's in lurve, and he feels he "must have done something right" to deserve her.

This is from a piece written about the upcoming album: “I always write about what I’m going through and I can’t avoid the fact that I’m just really happy and there are some good things going on,” says lead singer/guitarist/pianist Matt Thiessen. This happy state of mind lights up the exuberant first single “Must Have Done Something Right.” "This song represents something that I've wanted to create for a long time,” he explains. “It’s not a political commentary or a tear jerking emotion-piece, it’s just a feel good, fun song. Written at 3 a.m. with a smirk on my face, the song turned out to be something that you can tap your foot and smile to.”

I think it's pretty obvious that it's about a girl. However, I can see someone saying it's about God because Matt doesn't specifically mention a girl in the song. Other than that, really looking forward to the new album!

I think its kinda hard to decipher whether its a girl or God. I guess that's why Relient K is crossover. Here are the lyrics I think point to God. Otherwise, it'd be a girl. "And I know that it’s so cliche To tell you that everyday Spent with you is the new best day of my life.

Everyone watching us just turns away disgust This jealousy they can see that we’ve got it going on." He's saying spending time w/ God gets better and better & that everyone is jealous of the great relationship he and God have. "If anyone could make me a better person, you could" "You came along one day and you re-arranged my life"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
