The slightest hints, the indications,
The words I chain to your reactions,
The words I sip like medication,
The words I miss when you're in action !

The words we string on 'lifelong' !
The words the listener reads and sings along !
The words I didn't use to write the song !
The many words... The words !

The words I drive out of their bearings,
The words you care to blink like warnings,
The words you and I have in common,
The fancy ones that we can pick along,

The words I draw on sheets of paper...
The words you re-read in the letters...
The words they steal in our conversations...
The words which get lost in the translations...

My slightest hint, my indication !
It's becoming an obsession !
I drink your words like medication !
I need your words... Your words !

More words to string on 'lifelong' !
The words the listener reads and sings along,
The words I didn't use to write the song,
The many words... The words !

My bestest click / Click > coincidence,
Let's board a train to this evidence,
And fill the wagons with the many words,
We keep in store, for the many years...

The words to save out of nonsense,
The useless ones like 'your absence',
The precious ones, like the special three,
Three precious ones for you, Three precious ones for/

The many letters,
Thriving to make sense,
The blooming words,
Colour to sentence :
> Your words.
The questionned marks,
The -process- answers,
...The words...
The words that we give,
The words we receive,
The words that we live
...The words...
The indications,
The chain-reactions...
My medication,
When missing action...
My medication, please...
My medication, please...
My medication !
My medication !!!

My slightest hint, my indication !
I'll rob a jewe' and make you my wor'l'd,
If you give me more medication,
I need your words... Your words !

More words to string on 'lifelong' !
The words the listener read and sang along !
The words I didn't use to write the song !
The words the words the words... The words !

For Nancy.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
