I'm wasted youth
But I can't stop thinking bout' you
(I love you Wright)
I know that I fucked up and
I don't know what to do
I'm wasted youth
But I can't stop thinking bout' you
I know that I fucked up and
I don't know what to do
Deep down I still wanna fix it
Rebuild that trust I lost
I made a mistake and
It was our love that cost
My bed is empty now
And I can't fall asleep
I'm disassociating
Fuckin' I can't breathe
I said I would't make those same mistakes
But I did it again
They say distance makes the heart grow fonder
Shit I guess it did
Cuz I was fallin
For you
I'll say it to you so you know its true
And when the lights go out
Just know that I'll
Be standing there with you
Cuz i'm fallin
For you
I'm wasted youth
But I can't stop thinking bout' you
I know that I fucked up and
I don't know what to do
Deep down I still wanna fix it
Rebuild that trust I lost
I made a mistake and
It was our love that cost
I'm still the same person
My arms wide open
I'm glad I was the one that was chosen
But I fucked that up
I messed up the best thing
That's ever happened to me
I cant regain that trust
I fucked that up
I say i'm wasted youth
But I think I have potential
I don't know what to do
I can't get you out my mental
I'm fallin' for you
(I said I wouldn't make those same mistakes)
Still fallin' for you
(Even though I made those same mistakes)
I'm wasted youth
But I can't stop thinking bout' you
I know that I fucked up and
I don't know what to do
Deep down I still wanna fix it
Rebuild that trust I lost
I made a mistake and
It was our love that cost
I'm just gonna pretend everything's okay until it becomes okay
Because even though you're still in my head
I'll push through

Aah... I love this song, but I don't have much of an idea behind the meaning? Anyone have a clue?

I think it is about forgetting it all and just living.

Don't mess with my heart, don't mess with my mind Won't let you get us down this time.

Though I think this part is about a relationship or somethin', or at least saying you don't wanna be messed with. As in: don't hurt me again, cuz you've hurt me before. But overall, I think it's about living your life, making the most of it and just to have fun and all. Like popbaby1 said (:

i think this song means like, dont mess with my heart, if you dont give love, dont expect it, you might like what you see, but get used to just seeing it, and im gonna live my life, and get wasted, just have fun

I think the chorus of this song is really about seizing the day and making the most of it. She starts out saying "Don't waste it /It's only here for today", and also says "Get wasted on love, get wasted on life, get wasted on anything that's right", which is about enjoying everything you can in the moment.

It then goes on to say "Don't mess with my heart Don't mess with my mind Won't let you get us down this time. You'll like what you see and take it from me You'll learn to see it over time."

Which I interpret as being about someone the singer is interested in. She's asking the person to see the good things about the relationship and not mess with her. Also, she's saying the other person will like what they see (as in, like her) over time.

I think the last part about being empty and "If you don't give/You're never going to get" is about not getting anything out of the relationship. She's encouraging the other person to put more into it.

Also, I think they made a perfect choice in using this for the theme of the show South of Nowhere

i think the meaning is fairly simple. i think it's just about indulging in positive things. instead of drugs and the like, you know all those songs about love being a drug and -insert girls name here- being an addiction? well, i think it's like that. but i could be totally off mark here.

for me there are two words which can encapsulate all the meaning of this song those are "carpe diem" and everything is clear :D

I think this song is just saying don't go out get wasted, you don't have to get fucked up to have a good time. It's like a relationship where the person does drugs, and the other person wants them to stop. Stop getting wasted on the drugs, and get wasted on me. ya mean?

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
