Libertina Grimm
Howitzer glare and spitfire blade
Wooed by Dresden serenades
Her soundtrack now a bombing raid
Bored of Vaudeville

God was six days sober
On the night that she was born
To the glistening star of a bible class
An icon now in religious porn
She was Alice through the gloryhole
An ejaculate misconception
Disney-esque, the high priestess
Of greed and deepest dark deception

All best-to-bury whims
For Miss Libertina Grimm

She, that little red riding crop
Brer Werewolf at her stocking tops
Beneath the tightened leather strop
Of the basque of the houndervilles

At the stroke of midnight come
She polished verse and hearses
In a poisonous pen dipped in omen
To her surgeon full of general curses
In the hand of morgue redeemers
Though the dead always pleased her more
Squatting in her coffins
Flirting curtsies to the thirteenth floor

Tip your hats
For sweet Libertina Grimm
Fantasy and candy stores
Snow white and the seven straws
Smoke and mirrors on all fours?
Libertina Grimm

Her brothers grim, her sisters through
The final dance will be the cue
She amputates to fit the shoe
Libertina Grimm

Libertina Grimm

Mystery kindled in a blackened room
Nine candles lit to improve the gloom
She sees the dark as she feels her womb
Full of hidden secrets
They haunt her heart, those precious few
Those Count Lestats and Betty Blues
Those tortured souls just like me and you
Full of hidden secrets

No, don?t go
Don?t you leave me here
So alone
Libertina
No, don?t you go
Don?t you leave me here
So alone
Where the dead are free to roam

lol i dunno why when i posted it, it went all spacy and shit but anywho, the menaing:

this is roughly typed out from dani's interview. "shes sexy, aradite, but on the other hand posessed and too many nights of hedrosexual sex, shes like emily strange, like every goth boys fantasy, but she'l fuck you up"

Libertina Grimm sounds like an amazingly beautiful woman, who has evil intentons, and sounds like a bit of a necrophiliac....And she has dani 'around her little finger' So to speak, like shes enthralled him and then decides to move on to someone else just leaving him stranded, just cause she can....cause shes beautiful Miss Libertina Grimm Well thats what i got from the song anyway....it probably isnt that correct.....but it makes sense to me.

"Disney-esque, the high priestess" Alot of disney/fairy tale puns in here.

But what stood out the most for me were the cinderella references. "At the stroke of midnight come"

"The final dance will be the cue, She amputates to fit the shoe"

I remember in one version of cinderella I heard when I was little is that one of the step sisters cut off her big toe or part of her foot in order to fit into cinderella's shoe. Thus the "amputated" reference.

The Cinderella references come from the 'Grimm' part of the title, referring to the Brothers Grimm who were famous for their fairytales...I think...

no your right that was what originally happened in cinderella, but i think it was hte mother whose toe was severed.but then disney got a hold of it and really fucked it up. i preffered the dark versions when i was child

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
