I saw you waive goodbye
And play it off as so romantic
I thought it cute, and couldn't help it
As my strength inside failed to ward off your advances
And now I'm, I'm caught up in politics and lies
As entertainers we try to sing the same song every night
I'm tired of trying to treat you like
You ever mattered enough for me to put in this kind of time
Or any time at all, I swear

Slow down, just enough to fake this
Cuz there's way too much riding on an educated guess
I couldn't live without
Just calm down enough to get me through this
Lay back so I can really get a chance tonight
To play out the process while lost in the moment
Where I know this is right

WIth my arms around you
I'm trying to tune out everything that anyone has said
But who can forget a past
So ripe with lies and deceit that
I'm stuck debating to ask you
With all you've done
Can you remember how it feels to be in love?

Even though the stakes were high
The prize I won, well, just wasn't that fantastic
It's left me bruised and wondering how and why I'm
I'm living the politician's life
Where it's more important to save my image than save my soul

I guess that's how I survived
And oh, there's a certain part of me
That knows they're right
Well I hope you know that I know
But until I care too much I'll just

Slow down, just enough to fake this
Cuz there's way too much riding on an educated guess
I couldn't live without
Just calm down enough to get me through this
Lay back so I can really get a chance tonight
To play out the process while lost in the moment
Where I know this is right

I tried my best to make an offer
You tried your best to meet my demands
But you won't come close
And I won't come down
Your track record has made this personal
Everything I said out loud

But you don't hear me though

Slow down, just enough to fake this
Cuz there's way too much riding on an educated guess
I couldn't live without
Just calm down enough to get me through this
Lay back so I can really get a chance tonight
To play out the process while lost in the moment
Where I know this is right

With my arms around you
I'm trying my best to get these words and feeling off my chest
No, I'm saving the best for last
Lie down to do what we do best
And throw caution into the wind
Because what's done is done
Remember how it feels
Oh...

If one night can make me feel like this
I swear I'd take it back if
If I could take it back
There's so much that I wish I could have asked
Before you let me down and before I let you

There's only one thing that I have to ask you
And that's "do you go through what I am going through?"

They're nothing without the brass. Now they're just a washed up band trying to sound like everyone else and it doesn't have enough substance to make them stand out even the least bit from the rest.

The lyrics aren't half bad but the sound is too disappointing to care about it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
