This is basically an early and unrelesed version of Echoes. I would love to hear it with these lyrics, they have the "Echoe-ish" feel and I think they do fit in really well. Very nice!
Yes, this was the working version. It was played at a few shows. There were going to do it on Meddle, but decided to go with an underwater theme rather than a space theme.

I believe they changed the theme because the song was rejected for usage in 2001: A Space Odyssy.
Something about the music being too powerful and drawing attention away from the movie (wink).

I have this song. It's got a few minor differences in lyrics than the lyrics on this site (for instance, instead of "The parting suns shine as one" it's "The parting summer's sound is gone")
