I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point
I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point libra

Nikolai said it.

Will we be abandoned again
In this desert they called Paris

I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point
I caved in did you win
Finally excavated

Nikolai said it again.

Will we do just the same thing again
Will we do just the same thing again
In this desert they call Paris

I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point
I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point libra

Nikolai said it to me
Nikolai swore to me again
Nikolai said it to me
I'll be holding her hand till it's warm
Holding her head above water
Holding her hand till it's warm yes
Holding her head above water

Nikolai said it to me
Nikolai said it to me

Will we be abandoned again honey
Will we be abandoned again
Will we be abandoned again
In this desert called paris

I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point
I found out at zero ground
I found out at zero point libra
Nikolai said again

I can't believe I'm the first person to comment on this song but --- my pleasure.

Tori says this song was inspired by Zecharia Sitchin's Earth Chronicles series, which concerns the writings of the ancient Sumerians and their ideas regarding time. "It talks about Rome ending -- B.C. and then A.D. -- and the idea of what was supposed to happen at zero point", she explains. "I found there to be a strange correlation between America being the super power that it is and Rome being the super power that it was, and what comes along with that kind of power... how you can really forget the responsibility that you have to humanity. The ego becomes bigger than spirituality". -Tori; Sept 11, 2006

To be honest, it took me many listens to actually get into this song. But the venus (my second favorite album by her) vibe is there. This song is a freakin' mess. Awesome!

"Zero point, your time is coming." I remember that line in the Venus booklet.

Other than the fact that she releases some b-sides much later than usual, "we are now entering the photon band" and the part about the Maya are more appropriate now than it was when Venus was released. We're close to 2012, the end of the Mayan calendar and the supposed shift in consciousness.

This song is like a trip through the synth dark-world. The consistent Nikolai said makes me feel like she's referring to a broken promise of sorts. The last 4 minutes feel like finding your own way after being abandoned again.

    My Opinion

"Will we be abandoned again?" We were never abandoned. They never stopped trying to help us. They're still here, trying to help us. Rome never fell. I'm 99.9% sure Zero Point is about the fall of the empire that is yet to come. We're almost there. Hang in there, EWF.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
