(Four, tres, two, uno)

Listen up, y'all, 'cause this is it
The beat that I'm bangin' is delicious

Fergalicious, definition make them boys go loco
They want my treasure, so they get their pleasures from my photo
You could see me, you can't squeeze me
I ain't easy, I ain't sleazy
I got reasons why I tease 'em
Boys just come and go like seasons
Fergalicious (so delicious)
But I ain't promiscuous
And if you was suspicious
All that shit is fictitious
I blow kisses (mwah)
That puts them boys on rock, rock
And they be lining down the block
Just to watch what I got (four, tres, two, uno)

It's so delicious (it's hot, hot)
It's so delicious (I put them boys on rock, rock)
It's so delicious (they wanna taste of what I got)
I'm Fergalicious (t-t-t-t-t-tasty, tasty)

Fergalicious def-, fergalicious def-, fergalicious def-
(Def-, def-, def-, def-, def-, def-, def-, def-, def-, def-)
Fergalicious definition make them boys go crazy
They always claim they know me
Comin' to me, call me Stacy (hey, Stacy)
I'm the F to the E-R-G, the I, the E, and
Can't no other lady put it down like me
I'm Fergalicious (so delicious)
My body stay vicious
I be up in the gym just working on my fitness
He's my witness (ooh-wee)
I put yo' boy on rock, rock
And he be lining down the block
Just to watch what I got (four, tres, two, uno)

It's so delicious (it's hot, hot)
It's so delicious (I put them boys on rock, rock)
It's so delicious (they wanna taste of what I got)
I'm Fergalicious (hold, hold, hold, hold, hold up, check it out)

Baby, baby, baby
If you really want me
Honey, get some patience
Maybe then you'll get a taste
Of my tasty, tasty
I'll be laced with lacey
It's so tasty, tasty
It'll make you crazy

T to the A, to the S-T-E-Y, girl, you tasty

All the time I turn around brothas gather 'round
Always looking at me up and down looking at my (uh)
I just wanna say it now
I ain't tryin' to round up drama, little mama
I don't wanna take your man
And I know I'm comin' off just a little bit conceited
And I keep on repeating how the boys wanna eat it
But I'm tryin' to tell that I can't be treated like clientele

So many things bother me about this song. First of all, the fact that she sampled so many other songs, including JJ Fad's "Supersonic". The line "hit it fer-gie" annoys me qite a bit, because it's so close to the original song. She could've at least given initial credit for sampling, since HER song is such a big hit. She didn't make it that far by being original, and no one is aware of that. That's just disturbing to me. Second, I know that the mispelling of "tastey" was for rythmn's sake, But it's so annoying! Couldn't she just pick a different word? I'm sure she could've found a six-letter word that gives the same effect. Someone needs to get Fergie a thesarus. Third, the word "rock". I don't think she's talking about dancing or a genre of music in this context, so "on rock" can only mean one thing. Isn't she such a good influence? In conclusion, I bet this song won't last. I hope it dosn't. Just wanted to put my opinion out there.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
